Did You Know?
Braces, or suspenders, were almost universally worn due to the high cut of men's trousers. Belts did not become common until the 1920s. — MJ
Had it really come to this? Passing Charles Macmillan back and forth like an upright booby prize?

Bee's Hive
38 | HUFFLEDOR | PROUD MAMA | EDUCATOR
CHARMING'S MOST CBOX-BANNED MEMBER | HEAD BUDDY

Well hello! Welcome to the Beehive aka Bee's collection of crap.

I'm a Bee; I'm an 8th grade science grade teacher, happily-married mama of three, my darling bonus daughter, out of the box son and adorable terror of a youngest daughter; a proud Huffledor through and through; obsessed with Tom Holland and Lily James; loud; obnoxious; I love to read just don't have a lot of time to do it anymore; awkward things are my favorite; anything else you'd like to know, just ask!

A Haiku by Beanie;
Bee will kick some ass
And then cackle about it
Because it is Bee.

Daffodil Meadow Grimstone
NÉE POTTS | RAVENCLAW ALUMNA | SWEET | MELLOW | DAYDREAMER

Daffy was born in the wrong century. If she were allowed to walk around barefoot and in a comfortable cotton dress all the time she'd be perfectly happy. She's a free spirit who enjoys plants just as much as she enjoys people. She is a Ravenclaw and smart, intuitive when it comes to magic and people, though she can be a bit naive as she likes to believe the best in people.

Her family owns and runs a florist in Hogsmeade where many of her flower-named sisters also work. Falling close to the middle of seven sisters, she's a peacekeeper and mediator. Not that the Potts girls fight or argue all that often, but she's a people-pleaser nevertheless. She can be a bit flighty, especially where propriety is concerned, but has a good heart. She is often seen with flowers in her hair either solo or woven into a crown. It's just one of those things she enjoys that nobody can change about her!

Daff now owns her own florist and gift shop in Diagon Alley called Wildflowers where she sells flowers, potions, paintings, knickknacks and a host of other trinkets. She has a greenhouse out back and a rooftop garden, in addition to a workshop in the basement. She specializes in arrangements for special occasions, but will work on just about anything!

Quite happily married now, after wondering if it would ever happen, Daff is still working on settling into marriage and running a business; add in a new baby and she's busy.

Elsie Violette Kirke
NÉE BEAUREGARD | GRYFFINDOR ALUMNA | CARING | SOFT-SPOKEN

Elsie has settled into adulthood and motherhood unexpectedly easily. Though her marriage caused a lot of social scrutiny, she couldn't be happier than where she is now. She and Tyb have their own little house, he's got a good, steady job and she gets to work part time at the library while still being there to raise her babies. After everything that she'd been through over the years since graduating, including the loss of two of her brothers, she's finally in a space where she can live the life she wants, but never dared to dream to have.

Tl;dr she's grossly happy and it's unlikely to change.

Dean Elijah Hudson
GRYFFINDOR ALUMNUS | PLOYGLOT | POLYAMOROUS | FLIRTATIOUS

Dean is many things. He speaks many languages, has had many lovers and has a thirst for more. Raised in a bilingual household, he picked up languages early and often. A bit of a free spirit he flits around without much connection to anyone or anything. He does lack a sense of commitment to anything but his job. It's the one thing he takes seriously because he's good at it and he enjoys it. Otherwise he's got a very Devil may care attitude about the world.

Quincey Herbert Honeyduke
HUFFLEPUFF ALUMNUS | QUIRKY | FRIENDLY | DISORGANIZED

Having a successful shop is all it’s cracked up to be, in Quin’s opinion. Of course, he’s a bit candy-obsessed. It’s easy to see as soon as you step into the brightly-colored Honeyduke’s Sweet Shop that everything Quin does revolves around his shop. He's a sweet scatterbrain looking for lovein all the wrong places, apprently. Quin was accidentally turned into a duck by Miss Iona Teague in February of 1885. It was temporary though and awfully funny- after the fact!

He is a bit oblivious when it comes to anything but making sweets, but professionally is doing very well. In the kitchen he’s a genius mad scientist, in the social world, he’s a bit behind. He is a very outwardly outgoing and personable guy, he just tends to forget to think about ladies as anything other than pleasant company in the shop. Subconsciously, he's very aware that his muggleborn heritage is not desirable to many people, but he doesn't often let it get to him.

It truly is a wonder that he was able to capture the heart of one Miss Dahlia Potts. It was purely accidental at first, but the two have grown close and wed the summer of 1893.

Quin is taking a short break, will be back this summer!

Sloane Theresa Bixby
GRYFFINDOR | ADVENTUROUS | ATHLETIC | OUTGOING
Gryffingroup Log

The baby of a quidditch-obsessed family, Sloane has four older brothers and two parents involved somehow with brooms. Her father played professionally and now coaches; her eldest brother plays professionally; another brother was a broommaker and the other two brothers are involved with the sport at the ministry! Even her mother works in the Broom Regulatory Office.

It's no small wonder that she's all about the sport, getting her first toy broom at a comically young age, Sloane hardly ever has her feet on the ground. She's adventurous and loud and nothing like a proper young lady. Frankly she couldn't care less. She's aggressively inclusive, unless people are being bullies and she has absolutely no hesitation to stand up for the underdog.

Age has softened some of her more obnoxious traits, but soured the once-bright optimism of her younger years too. Her last year at Hogwarts was stolen from her; a terrible accident due to some freak weather in the park saw her struck by lightning. Presumed dead, Sloane washed ashore from the Black Lake looking entirely unlike herself. She was taken in by the Sinclair family and passed off as an niece from family in America. The details are fuzzy and unclear, but now she's picking up the pieces and trying to reconcile the life she once knew with the life she's lived for nearly a year.

Alvin Oleander Bixby
RAVENCLAW ALUMNUS | ARTISTIC | LOST | HARDWORKING

Out there Alvining as I casually ruin his life.

And by that, he's lost a sister in a terrible accident while she was in his care. Now his youngest brother has been maimed by dragons. He was already mourning the loss of his beloved broommaking career thanks to an injury, now he's got a lot going on and his head is a wild ride. He's trying to keep himself together for his mother's sake, but the darkness is slowly creeping in and he's barely keeping his head above water.

Nigel Sheldon Yarwood
ACADEMIC | INTROVERTED | LOYAL | IDEALIST

Iwas viciously bullied.

Doesn't lessen the love for him though. An introvert to the max, even if Nigel isn't working, he's working. More often found with his nose in a book or sequestered in some corner of a library, any library. That said, he can be an awkward mess, but has a good heart and inquisitive mind. A resident of The Glen, a dragon sanctuary in Wales, he doesn't often worn with the giant beasts, but does work for the Research Department for the Dragon Restraint Bureau of the ministry. Growing up around them has left him with a healthy appreciation for dragons, but also a natural wariness. He does find them fascinating, but also scary as hell and that is unlikely to change.

John Franklin Collins
GRYFFINDOR ALUMNUS | DEDICATED | DETERMINED | FAMILY-ORIENTED

Jack's spent the better part of the last decade being the most dedicated father he could be. After losing his young wife and child in a tragic birth gone wrong, he is forced to focus on his remaining son and pick up the pieces as best he can. He works his way up his hospital department, using the work to distract him from the pain, splitting his time and efforts between raising Emerson and making sure he can financially support them. It's not easy, but he makes it work (thankfully with some very dedicated household staff).

Now as the healer-in-charge of the Creature-Induced Injuries unit at Hogsmeade Hospital and Emerson off to Hogwarts as a first year, he can finally take a breather and maybe focus on himself? Maybe?

Eugene Ethelwin Armand Scamander
HUFFLEPUFF ALUMNUS | CHARISMATIC | FAMILY-ORIENTED | OPTIMISTIC

Eugene is still the best single dad Hogsmeade has to offer, but it's not like it used to be. With a divorce and a broken engagement under his belt now. Eugene is focusing on raising Theseus to the best of his ability and his work. He was promoted to the Assistant Head for the Regulation & Control of Magical Creatures at the Ministry and is relieved, after barely surviving both a dragon attack physically and his broken engagement emotionally, that he has something positive to put his effort into. Not to mention it's a lot more work at the ministry and less out on the front lines. Hopefully he'll stay less injured.

He walks now with a bit of a limp in his left leg after the dragon attacks on the Thames, but it doesn't slow him down much. Eugene is a much more somber person at the moment, but will hopefully bounce back in time.
