Hello!

Whizzhard Books is going to be hold a few events around Christmas, but I was wondering if the other shopkeepers and citizens of Hogsmeade would like the idea of a village wide Winter/Holiday Festival?  With mini-events throughout the week at different businesses and locations?  Perhaps, IC'ly from Friday, December 19th, 1890 to Wednesday, December 24th, 1890?  That way kiddos from Hogwarts would also be able to participate.  Smile  I think there was a Christmas Market last year (correct me if I'm wrong), so this would expand on it a little bit and make it more than just shopping.

Random Ideas for Other Village Activities:
  • Other shops doing special things!
  • Caroling
  • Ice Skating
  • Maybe an evening street festival?  With music, dancing, shopping, a bunch of refreshment stalls, things for kids, etc.

If other people are interested, I would be happy to edit this post and maybe even make a calendar of events within the Festival!

Gideon wants to participate! I'm trying to think of some unique event thing Ollivander's could run and idk yet... but if nothing else he could sponsor or co- sponsor one of those more generic events like ice skating.

The Gallivans and maybe another sponsoring family could do a mini Quidditch thing? Like wizard chess but with Quidditch?

I know the Jewell family isn't played anymore but their Whiskey store would totally participate with speciality drinks for adults and maybe a Santa for the kids. That is if we are with an inactive family taking part.

Thom Pettigrew would partner on this if someone approached him and asked, but wouldn't volunteer himself since he's busy planning his annual Quidditch Christmas party.

Reuben Crouch is inactive at the moment but he'll be back as soon as my absence ends and he could definitely run this! But he'd given alcohol to the kiddos too because that's the kind of person he is :P also because it's era appropriate xD They should make a Candy Cane Whiskey drink for the kids or something and get them all drunk.

I'm going to toss a calendar up in the first post so, when the December events calendar comes out, I can just copy/paste everything.

Sunday December 21st, 1890: I'm going to list as the evening street festival. If that's alright with everyone?

Cecily Gallivan Do you want a specific day for the quidditch thing, or random?
