The Hogsmeade Bachelor Festival is an event being held in the centre of the village. This is based on a real event. It used to be annual and was last held 64 years ago, a small committee has decided to try and revive it.
So from the 25th of April to the 27h of April there will be a series of events in Hogsmeade:
The Competition:
It's a bit of fun! It's open to men over 25, who have never been married. While it is aimed at WC and MC men, some more cavaler UC men might take part for fun - but will not win.
While the 'point' of it, is a parody of a debut for women, including the selection of the 'best' bachelor, it doesn't mean anything really, and is more for male bragging rights and the opportunity to hang out with their friends and shouldn't be taken too seriously. It's something to do on a weekend and a bit of a laugh.
Men might sign up themselves, sign up with friends to see who can get the furthest, or sign up a friend who will feel obligated to be a good sport.

[*] Horseback Riding: Contestants must demonstrate their equestrian skills by participating in a horseback riding competition. Tasks may include riding through obstacles, demonstrating control of the horse, and executing precise maneuvers.
[*] Spellcasting Contest: Competitors showcase their accuracy and strength in an spellcasting contest. Extra points for flaire and flourish.
[*] Poetry Recitation: Each contestant presents a self-composed or memorized poem, showcasing their eloquence, creativity, and appreciation for literature.
[*] Broomstick steeple chase: A race around a preset course through the village, points are awarded for speed, and competency of completing the route, as well as for hitting targets along the course.
[*] Etiquette and Manners: Participants are judged on their knowledge and application of proper etiquette and manners. They must demonstrate grace, courtesy, and gentlemanly behavior in various social scenarios.
[*] Calligraphy and Penmanship: Contestants display their penmanship skills by writing a formal letter or document using quill pens and ink. Judges assess handwriting legibility, style, and overall presentation. Not an event but written beforehand and judged with scores being announced at the musicale.
[*] Music Performance: Competitors showcase their musical talents by playing an instrument or singing.
[*] Personal Skill: Competitors will show off their skills in a way that they choose in what they consider their special skill.
[*] Debate: Contestants engage in a formal debate on a topic of historical or societal importance. They must demonstrate eloquence, logical reasoning, and persuasive argumentation in front of a panel of judges.

My best guess as possible judges:
Thomasina Dempsey - Wife of the Minister - the press the flesh type of situation she would be expected to oversee.
@'Fitzroy Prewitt' - Head of Dept. of Magical Games and Sports
The Last Winner - he's 89 years old, still unmarried, he took his title way too seriously and has basically built an entire personality out of being a bachelor
Proprietress of the Roses - Aldous Crouch
Lemme know if they would accept the role or nominate a delegate.
Anyone interested in taking part as a contestant? I'll be throwing up an event - and it's likely to be the topic of a Witch weekly article, probably oogling the gents
So from the 25th of April to the 27h of April there will be a series of events in Hogsmeade:
- Live Music Performances: Throughout the festival, there are live music performances by local groups and musicians. Some of these will be 'ceili' style dances to something that perhaps passes more like a 'ball'
- Food and Craft Stalls: Various food stalls, as well as craft stalls selling handmade goods and souvenirs, line the festival grounds.
- Workshops and Demonstrations: Workshops and demonstrations showcasing traditional crafts, such as pottery, weaving, and woodworking, provide opportunities for attendees to learn and participate.
- Sports Events: Friendly sports competitions, such as a 5 a side quidditch (keeper, beater, 3x chaser, timed no seeker) match and tug-of-war contests.
- Beer and Wine Tastings: Tastings of locally brewed beers and wines give attendees the chance to sample some of the finest beverages from the region.
- Bachelor Competition: The highlight of the festival, the bachelor competition, typically takes place in stages over the weekend. Contestants participate in various challenges and activities to showcase their skills, wit, and charm, with the winner being crowned the "Bachelor of the Year."
