Did YOU recently get doused with amortentia and elope as a result? The Ministry of Magic has your back! As long as one of the parties involved can produce the letter and envelope, and both parties consent, head on into the Ministry for an annulment as swift as your wedding!

How does this affect your reputation? Instead of the -2 for eloping, the gentleman in question will see -1 for six months for being a silly goose. The lady will have the same, with one caveat: she cannot have a reputation higher than a 6 until one year after she marries properly—if she ever does. After all, she might be spoiled goods now...

The AC is underway—lists and deactivations are in progress! Remember that if you lost a character you did not wish to lose, you may post in maintenance to take their soul back from the reaper starting Wednesday, October 10th. If you currently have no active characters, you may post immediately to reactivate one!

Posting Wizard has rolled over! I've decided to enjoy my long weekend, so the winners from September will be announced later this week ;)

Witch Weekly is hiring! For anyone unaware, Witch Weekly is an in-character magazine issued every Sunday, and we have a fantastic team of players who put it together, lovingly dubbed the Weekly Wenches. Article topics range from high society life to baseless gossip and scandal, conspiracy theories and far-fetched health and beauty tips. Wenches contribute either an article every week (full-time) or every other week (part-time) and get to be a part of shaping the on-board world, which has its own perks.

Those interested in applying can PM the following information to Ophelia Devine. Applications will be accepted until October 31st, but we may also bring someone on sooner depending on the number of applications we get.

Hello friends! Just a couple of general reminders for one and all!

• When starting a new thread, try to remember to tag it Open, Private, Mature, Read Only, or See inside! Those not tagged will be treated as open to anyone. Also if you’ve marked it S, remember to clarify the parameters in your post!
  
• Got old accounts? Use ‘em! Rather than making a new account for every character, we encourage you to use accounts from characters you never apped/had approved for your latest creation! Staff will change the username during the approval process. #Recycling
  
• After reactivating a character, you must re-add them to the character directory or you’ll just have to reactivate them again next month! (You also have to redo their claims, but as always, staff takes care of Occupations, Canons, and Hogwarts Roster).
  

Lastly, if PW from September and that damn Hogwarts Calendar aren’t posted tomorrow, someone drop-kick me into the sun >.>

The AC is coming! The November AC will take place on Saturday, November 3rd! To ensure you survive, please make sure that...

• Your mini-profile is filled in with height properly formatted
  
• All of your characters have been listed in the Character Directory—check back on your entries to make sure they were processed properly! Anyone reactivated this month will need to be placed back on.
  
• Characters made before the last AC have posted at least once this month
  
• This one's more for staff, but that your full profile has been filled in ;)

If all of the above are squared away, there should be no reason for you to fall inactive in the upcoming check! To our new members: the AC requires no work on your part. The staff team simply makes sure the above is seen to!

Posting wizard signups are now open for the month of November—those of you who are smart will include your Charming NaNo character ;) We're also taking events submissions for the month of November!
