My dear Adventurous Fellow,

Have you seen the pyramids of Egypt? The recently constructed Eiffel Tower? I hope to hear you have, as I have done, if you consider yourself to be “adventurous”!

I write in response to your advertisement in this latest edition of Witch Weekly. Though I fear that you and I are likely not meant to be—I suspect I should know, were the opposite true—I feel as though you are a kindred spirit, one that I must lead to his true love.

My rates are altogether reasonable, and I confess that I do give a discount to those I find charming. Please do be in touch.

Miss Valentine,

Kindred spirits indeed! A recent sojourn to the Himalayas aside, I think you likely deserve the first prize for travel.

I probably should confess that the advertisement of mine you came across was not, actually, of my own doing, so this letter has come as something of a surprise. That said, it is true that I should hate to turn down an adventure - not least an adventure of the heart. I expect I would be much entertained to hear your thoughts on the matter.

And I will do my very best to be charming.

What a delight to hear! I might have gone so far as to call her a ‘lost cause’ once and for all, but I have faith in your abilities and whatsoever they entail. I shall do my best to drag that lonely soul along with me to any time and place of your convenience, if you should like to meet her face to face? Although that sort of thing may have to wait until the fog lifts, in the case that you are affected by it.

I fear that I am, indeed, trapped by this fog, which has served to damper my plans as well as my magic. I am afraid your lost cause may have to wait, though if you could procure a lock of their hair, I may be able to do a bit of work on the project in the interim.
