Dear "Ideal Woman Seeks Ideal Gentleman"

Dear "Ideal Woman",
I am not sure if I would call myself handsome but I am certainly of a jolly disposition most of the time. I have had a difficult time of it but I can feel myself slowly coming back to that usual, jolly nature of mine. I do not have need for frequent parties to be held but I would not be against my wife hosting them for any reasons she so chose. I feel I would make a rather loving and giving husband if one gave me the chance.

Do let me know if there is anything else about me you would like to know. I shall be very happy to hear back from you as I do not usually do this sort of thing so am not entirely sure I am doing so correctly.

Yours,
R. G.

Mr. R. G.,

I am pleased to see a response! I admit that I have posted a lonely heart before. Anonymous letters so romantic and riveting, don't you agree?

Handsomeness is not as much a requirement as it is a fleeting desire. I am humble enough to admit that vanity is one of my few flaws that remain from my school days, but with age I'm sure it will dissipate. Besides, a kind heart and a warm smile is worth more than a hundred handsome faces in my opinion. I'm sorry to hear that your spirit has been dampened recently; hopefully a little correspondence can brighten your day!

No need to give any identifying information if it makes you uneasy. I would like to know about your passions and your interests. What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

Sincerely,
Miss S
