My dear Thrice-Broken,

What a tragic story you have to tell! I regret that I cannot offer you romance, but perhaps I might be able to provide you with solution in a different way. If you are interested in what destiny has in store for that broken heart of yours, please do be in touch.

I. Valentine,

And who are you supposed to be? Some shady matchmaker? Are you affiliated with the gossip rag? Selling my responses for a quick sickle?

Signed,
J. Warbeck

Miss? Warbeck

English is not my first langauge, so I apologize if I have missed something in my initial letter that caused offence. I was touched by your story in Witch Weekly and sought only to aid you, not to ignite a fire of rage.

Sincerely,
I. Valentine

I. Valentine,

Forgive my rudeness; my patience for the antics of Witch Weekly after they have repeatedly slandered me. I have little idea where they've gotten the impression that I'm "thrice broken"—I have long been considered a spinster and have never had my heart broken.

In my good advice, soliciting through a slanderous tabloid is likely to hurt your reputation, rather than boost it, if you're attempting to make a business out of "matchmaking".

Signed,
J. Warbeck

Miss Warbeck,

Allow me to return to you some good advice in exchange for your own: not even a spinster is beyond love, and to condemn yourself to a life without is to condemn yourself to a life unlived. I would also advise against making abrupt assumptions about those who would assist you, for I have made a healthy living indeed doing just as you say.

Best of luck in future.

Sincerely,
I. Valentine
