"That sounds -" wonderful, instead Daniel added, "Like a plan." He often left such matters to his wife. Whatever her whims desired he saw no reason in her buying. He didn't have to like it or even feel he had to use it, so long as she shopped without him. He didn't even mind if she went over her allowance to do so.

"Where else would you like to show me? " Surely shops weren't the only thing that the resort had in store for them.

  

The newly found plan was one she should've thought of from the start. Freya squeezed her husband's arm in understanding and followed as they began to walk from the window of the shop.

"There's the menagerie and a few more shops down the boardwalk," she stated casually. A simple walk would suit her just fine. "The main resort building is back the way we came, but we'll see plenty of it in the coming weeks."

A menagerie certainly sounded more manageable, enough so that Daniel was able to suggest a bit less bleakly, "Onward then." He glanced down at Freya's face hoping that this venture might return the smile to her face. It seemed in the pattern of their life together he had lost the touch to do that as he once had, in the early days of their marriage.
