What: Live Sculpting Salon
Who: Emrys & some other big players on the art patron scene arranged it and are inviting anyone with money
Cost: if you don't make some kind of donation you're probably not invited back
Where: in the countryside, see below
Why: to fund the next thing I'm about to post
When: April 5

The venue is actually one of those operating theaters where Muggle doctors would perform autopsies in the center and there are seats raised up in 3/4 of their surroundings, except with some modifications to make the observation seats roomier & comfier and allow for footmen to pass in and out with refreshments. In the center a series of sculptors will be "performing" by creating a piece of artwork right then and there. There is no unifying theme except that all of the statues are made of magical clay that moves so watching is one part art and two parts mud wrestling as they persuade the clay to move only in ways they intend.

All of these sculptors and others will be featured in the upcoming sculpture garden and guests are encouraged to make donations to help sponsor the garden and pay the artists.

ACAB | REP ANY | ART EXHIBIT

What: Living Sculpture Garden
Who: Anyone~
Cost: a small ticket price to enter the gardens (you can stay as long as you wish); additionally if you want to drink while you wander there are glasses of wine for sale
Where: in the countryside, accessible by floo
Why: #art
When: runs April 19-28, opening party on the 19th

A sprawling garden at someone's country estate (not Emrys') has been transformed into an art exhibit by being positively stuffed with sculptures. Some are stationary, some are magical and move around, primarily when you aren't looking. The exhibit overall has no central theme but different areas of the garden have been themed and identified with small cheeky signs, eg "The Beastiary" for a path full of animal statues. The garden is open from 4p to midnight each night of the run and footman will be dispatched from the main house to offer wine (for a small fee) starting at 8p. Different sections of the garden have different lighting schemes that match the vibe, including floating candles, magical light orbs, and one where some of the statues themselves become luminescent after dark.

As you might imagine it's easy to sneak off with someone, have fun scandal hoes.

On the night the exhibit opens the main house (not part of the normal garden experience except providing the floo destination) will host an opening night party for the artists involved, anyone who contributed financially to the exhibit, and anyone they feel inclined to bring - there is no bouncer in this situation so basically if you know about it nothing is stopping you from attending. The after party will have free wine and mingling and at some point one of the sponsors (not Emrys) will give a speech thanking everyone for making this happen blah blah blah. The party is ostensibly confined to a few rooms downstairs but this house is not currently occupied (its residents having already headed to London for the season) and no one will stop you from going elsewhere. The after party winds down around 2a.

ACAB | REP ANY | SEX PARTY

What: it wouldn't have a name IC but you can call it the Sex & Drugs Party
Who: Emrys hosting for only the cool kids
Cost: nope
Where: Emrys' home in Bristol
Why: did you think he was going to be faithful to his wife or something
When: April 27

This is a chill party, in that there's no one having live sex on a stage while everyone else watches. He's still shaking the dust off, what can I say? There WILL be: opium, alcohol, footmen wearing vests but no shirts beneath, people fondling each other openly on couches, etc. The downstairs is open to party goers. The upstairs bedrooms are available to people Emrys likes enough to give them a little privacy and trust they won't go through his things. Emrys' bedroom and Angelica's old bedroom are locked. Note that there is no spiritus sancti at this party and if Emrys catches anyone sneaking some in he'll kick you out - no one drifting through walls in his house, thanks. He is also not above kicking you out without your body and leaving you to figure out how to get someone to bring it out to you. He's not playing with keeping people out of his room.

The usual security measures — people have to be personally invited to come, anyone who seems not chill will get a memory-wiping drink before they leave — apply. Emrys might have included you on the invite list if you're a regular in this crowd, at Rip van Winkle, or you caught his eye during the Sculpture Garden events. When in doubt ask me please! This is a relatively exclusive event and no, your deb cannot come!

What: The Lovegood Double Debut
Who: Hosted by Eurydice's aunt for the UC human crowd.
Cost: —
Where: Swallowbury, Irvingly
Why: Not one, but TWO young ladies need to beat the Hogwarts debs to the scene.
When: Friday, 26th April

The theme is: standard ball.

After just under a month of making sure they're ready to be launched upon society, Eury's aunt is doing just that, hosting a joint debut for her two nieces. Are you curious about the young ladies no one has ever heard of? Do you just like a party? Come on down!

WC/MCAB| REP 4+ | Festival

What: Hogsmeade Gay Bachelor Festival
Who: The participants in each events are men/male presenting, women can watch events, and some of the social events will include women, there is nothing to stop women going to the late night drinking - but reputation to be considered.

WC and working MC are likely to be the participants in the best bachelor competition, and most social events are aimed at WC and MC people. UC may go along to watch or act as judges etc.

Cost: A few knuts to sign up - or sign up your friend to the of the best bachelor competition. First prize is a flying carpet, second is a broom, and third is some broom equipment, runners of individual rounds will get nice bottles of whiskey.
The festivals other events are either free, or there is a small cover charge

Where: The Bain house in Hogsmeade
Why: It's April and almost the Season also this little old tune inspired an idea
When: Friday, 19th April

The ceiling of the ballroom has been enchanted in a manner similar to the Hogwarts Great Hall, except it does not reflect the weather outside. Instead, a gentle spring rain falls from the ceiling, dissipating before it touches any guest's head. The decor is otherwise rather plain, featuring gentle spring bouquets and standard snack fare.

This event is secretly Mina's birthday ball. Anyone who knows the hostess's daughter will be aware of this. Additionally, think of this as "an event for anyone who doesn't want to go to the country for the living sculpture garden party."
