Declan is an artist. He likes to paint magical portraits. (My headcanon that Sir Cadogen at Hogwarts was his doing in one of his art classes.) He'd attempted to sell portraits to the upper class but since he didn't get much earnings from that, he hit puberty and turned to painting nudes of them instead. He does it secretly and sells it under a fake identity. Typically, he uses a girl for a model and then will scout around Hogsmeade/London for UC faces to paint that would fit the body he has painted. He pays the models and keeps their identities secret. He has a teeny tiny flat in the slums that he rents hourly for his painting sessions.

His current nude painting list atm is:

Ursula Black, propped up in a settee with her fancy gown pushed down to her waist, legs splayed out beneath the skirt suggestively and a massive serpent (Declan named him Phineas) wrapped around her body. It's neck and head curls up over her bare shoulder and one breast is covered with her hand going up to pet the snake's head. The other breast is bare.

My plot needs:

• Models! UC ladies whose faces he can steal. It's known that these are not REAL paintings - the women haven't actually posed or anything so no reps will be lowered. There might be a rumor about "Gasp! So and so has a painting from the mysterious artist! I wonder who it could be!?" but that's about it. WC ladies who would pose for him. He'd be very respectful about it and wouldn't make any moves. Likely they develop a sort of friendship, business type relationship. This spreads by word of mouth so it would be assumed they know of each other through similar social circles. Open to MC ladies but would be a bit more difficult for them to come into contact with him and sneak into the slums and whatnot. He pays 10 sickles for each session (roughly $85) and sells the paintings for 5 galleons (roughly $700.)
  
• Buyers! Think stylish nudes with a bit of sauciness. Collectors, pervs, men purchasing them of their wives, mistresses, or their friends' wives to lust over and brag about.
  
• Sponsors! I would love it if an UC man/woman commissioned him to do a painting! Contact is via owl only and he'd make secret arrangements so as not to reveal himself. But getting some real paintings in could be fun.
  
• Female Quidditch! Declan wants to do a series of paintings that are "pin up" style of female quidditch players for each quidditch team (i.e. in quidditch robes, posing suggestively with brooms) AND of players of the Harpies. Could be real, could be fake. Let me know!
  

Other ideas:

• He gets feelings~ for one of the models, whether it be a portrait of a commissioned UC lady or one of the WC models. We'd have to thread them and see how it goes, I don't pre-plot romance. OR the other way around, where she gets feelings for him and gets a bit jealous of the other nudes.
  
• I'm open to other ideas! Throw 'em at me!
  

Also not totally related to this, but he's needing some flirtations/crushes that are WC/MC and roughly his age. My goal is for him to lose his virginity this year, so hit me up with ideas (sans with a prostitute, because he wouldn't do that.)

I really want the painting of Ursula to end up somewhere that Thom Pettigrew might see it (with a friend or acquaintance from Black's who might invite people to look at his 'private collection' or whatever after a dinner party?) because that thread would be hilariously awkward. Bonus if whoever bought Ursula's could introduce him to the idea of this artist/the Quidditch pin-ups because he would totally buy those >>

Lyra wouldn't be opposed to modeling because she's pragmatic and was very sexually progressive when she was alive, but given her current situation it would take some finagling to get her to interact with Declan in a way that would lead to that. Let me know if you have any ideas about it, but otherwise it's not really something she would seek out and I'm not sure that he's the type to proposition a vampire xD

I have a few people!

I think he went to school with Bella Scrimgeour (albeit a different house) and he could steal her face! She has a soap-opera-esque background and that could be a theme for a portrait if he'd be inclined to do something like that. I also have Violetta Lestrange (who obviously hasn't been apped yet) and he could steal her!

Odette Ravenhurst (who isn't apped yet either but will be VERY soon) is a WCHB who became really poor after she was orphaned and could likely be convinced into doing that if it brought her money to live off of!

Mathias Beaumont enjoys art in general and would probably keep some hidden in a study for a private collection! If ever faced with any paintings of his sisters he might have a heart attack.

I just made the Ursula one up so theoretically it's up for sale. We could always have an NPC who purchased it that is in Thom's circle and he can see it in their men's cigar room or parlor what-have-you. I love the idea of him painting Lyra but I'm not quite sure how to get them together for it. I'll put a pin in that.

  

My UC ladies currently apped and active besides Ursula are Tig and Ada, I'm not sure if he'd want to paint either but there you are.

Yasmina Khatri would probably be fairly easily talked into posing.

....I can't believe I just saw this. I love this idea. Honestly love. I honestly have two things. #1 - Ambrosia Shinnick herself. Steal her face if you like. They would have likely seen each other at least at school - she graduated '85. #2 - Killian Tabiner, my Terrible Human Being. He might make a commission, though whether that would be of someone in particular or simply an idealized figure, I'm unsure. Depends on whether Declan would take that sort of commission.
