QWC Match Two: Britain vs. Morocco
#49
Once the game was over he'd probably feel a great deal of empathy for Pettigrew and his kneecap but right now there was only room for satisfaction at the well aimed bludger. With said bludger still within close range, Zak honed in on it again - Pettigrew had considerately removed himself from what had become a rather congested area, much to his relief - and this time smashed it towards Bixby.

Jamal had seconds to enjoy the fact that he had managed to block the second attempt when the blasted chaser was back again!

He zipped to defend again! Praying his team mates would get close enough to offer some kind of assistance or deal with this son of a bitch chaser!

Well this was off to an interesting (and thankfully better!) start than the last match.

Beckett moved to block the bludger shot at Bixby in an attempt to be useful.

Cash glanced briefly at the chaos below and grimaced. At least the Moroccan keeper was doing pretty poorly, and hopefully their chasers would hang on.

"And the Britain team scores again!!! Fantastic tactics, Mr. Bixby, well done! That poor keeper though...at least it looks like the Moroccan team has their money's worth when it comes to Beaters!! Moroccan team beater, Hassani's bludger has found a target in Lachlan MacFusty -- both behemoths if you ask me -- though it seems that MacFusty's injuries will result in just some sore limbs in the next day or so as opposed to poor Pettigrew's broken kneecap. At least that seems to be it for the Britain team..."

Oh I say!!!

I spoke too soon, look at poor Longbottom!!! Looks like he's suffered the same injury that's hindered Pettigrew. Merlin, the Britain team might be walking away from this game with fewer kneecaps than they started with. I'm sure that will give Longbottom and Pettigrew something to bond over if they didn't have anything already...my dear Mr. Alaoui, do you have some sort of quota to meet that we are unaware of?"

Satisfied that the bludger hit at least someone on the British team, Karim dove for it once more and wacked it at the British seeker.

Yes! Rufus punched the air as he watched the quaffle fly through the goal post.

His eyes watched as it continued to fall with most of the Morocian team further down the field. He dove for the quaffle catching it quickly he zoomed back to the front and attempted another goal.

He'd missed his intended target but at least he'd landed a hit. Hoping Longbottom would remain distracted by his injury, he tried a second time to hit Bixby. If Selhim couldn't keep the quaffle out then he could at least try to prevent the goal scoring shots from being made in the first place.

Gus stuck around where she was by the hoops in case Bixby needed a hand while the British continued being attacked at the kneecaps, but so far was rather pleased the Moroccan chasers seemed to be nowhere to be found. They could loiter around these hoops for shooting practice all bloody day, no problem.

Abbas groaned as the British managed to score a handful of goals on them. When he noticed Bixby going for the shot, he attempted to intercept it before it would even get to their chaser.

Lach hissed in pain as the bludger grazed his leg at a fast enough speed to leave a bruise but not directly enough to do any real damage. Unfortunately, it seemed he was the only one unscathed by the bludger's blow: Longbottom's kneecap was, apparently, done for just like Pettigrew's. He groaned. Then Hassini took the damned bludger, and he had nothing to do except fly closer to the action.

She was starting to get irked at the British chasers, though at the very least their own beaters seemed to be doing their job well. She shifted to get in closer but upon seeing Abbas move in closer for the ball, she swung out, wanting to provide Abbas someone to toss the quaffle to if he got overwhelmed.

Jamal didnt even have time to curse and that bloody English guy was on him again!

"And Britain scores again after plenty of attempts on both sides to intercept or help!!! Mr. Bixby, I would mind my kneecaps if I were you. My goodness we seem to be not doing too well, do we, Moroccan team? Oooh and look, Karim Hassani has attempted to knock a bludger towards the British Seeker. Hrm, doesn't seem to have had any effect on Mr. Lestrange though. If I were you, sir, I'd mind my kneecaps as well."
