I feel like another lady's maid is far too obvious so I'll try and diversify because in Kayte's description of Sanditon Terrace there are various small shops and businesses and I'm hoping I can include in that at least one high-end restaurant and a dressmakers. Presumably they'd be there permanently and I like the idea of a hierarchy between those with "skilled" roles and those without.

1) Pâtissier. He's going to be bitchy.
2) Sommelier. Probably also bitchy.
3) Seamstress. Could go either way.

I think I am leaning more and more towards the Sanditon for reasons already outlined! We can still do the joint-NPC-headcanons for the permanent guests for those who prefer it, and we would definitely get a lot more interaction with played characters with people visiting/our staff getting hired out during the season. The Sanditon events are already established so we wouldn't have to host them through a NPC household; the Sanditon staff presumably also have a little more freedom of movement than in the one household where many of them are not otherwise going to be getting out much xD And as the resort has probably a bigger staff pool than other places, if people want to join later there's probably more room for them to do so?

But still with all the good domestic service related drama, of course. xD

Also the Downton downstairs went to the beach once as a group outing so I think it's cute.

I was thinking about this too overnight and my thoughts are basically this xD changed my vote!!

On another note, I really am liking this idea more and more, because Miri and I have talked a lot about wanting a more prominent (respectable) WC family/group to have more WC threads and events. xD

This! It's also why I'm leaning more towards the Sandition bc I feel like this can better be achieved.

3.) Housekeeper

Talked to Kayte and this is the list of options available for WC Staff at the Sanditon Inn and this is the list that will be provided:

All employed Sanditon staff MUST be (this obvi doesn't apply to those bringing their own):

• fully-fledged human beings
  
• magical
  
• rep of 7+
  

A list of acceptable positions that would be at the Inn Proper:**

• cook
  
• housekeeper
  
• house maids
  
• kitchen maids
  
• scullery maids
  
• menagerie (zoo) attendants
  
• footmen
  
• butler
  
• under butler
  
• kitchen maids
  
• gardeners
  
• Bathing Machine attendants
  
• CARRIAGE DRIVERS YO (to quote Kayte directly)
  
• any shopkeeper at the Terrace
  

There would NOT be any use of ladies maids, valets or any personal staff (nannies, governesses), as those positions are expected to be a BYOW [Bring Your Own Worker] deal. <— Still playable just employed by individual families

Those at The Terrace can also BYO everything so you can have multiple butlers etc, it’s just those described for the Inn itself

If that sounds alright with everyone, we could move forward with using the Sanditon Inn as the base. If people want ladies' maids, valets etc for a more social hierarchy, then we might want to veer more towards NPC fam!

I think we could do away with the ladies maids and valets in favor of a different dynamic with the zoo attendants, shopkeepers, and bathing machine attendants who are not servants by nature but who also likely (both by proximity and nature of this plot :P) come in contact with them regularly.

I'd be up to playing a housemaid <3

I'm planning to make a laundress who works in a shop near the edge of the line of shops/out of sight of fun activities. She uses her wages from that to pay for paint supplies. She sells charmed paintings of the ocean (waves, sunsets, etc) to tourists for more money
