We were having a cbox conversation about having a fully-played household staff with their own plots and drama. It's something I haven't seen since I joined Charming, but watching Downton Abbey (for the first time!) made me want it more >.>

What we'd need:
— A family for the household staff
— People to play members of the household (a butler, housekeeper, maids, footmen, lady's maid, valet, cook, etc. depending on size of household)

Obviously it'd be cool if there was already an established family, and if there was one with potential for drama between the household staff. :P

I would definitely love to play an ambitious housemaid or a governess (if there's children) or even a housekeeper!

If I got conned into this, I'd probably play an uneducated, trickster hall boy, a dramatic as heck cook, or a bumbling footman.

If y'all are looking for homes:

- the Devines would have a full staff, are based in Hogsmeade, have two played family members (Ophelia/Roberto) and one played staff member (Imogen Fox) - and maybe a played child if Kelly still has him? And Nicole has periodically played Ophelia's ladies maid. Not a ton of inherent drama but plenty of people to interact with.

- the Pettigrews have a full staff, change location seasonally, and have 1-2 played family members depending on my & Kayte's time. Periodic drama built in/ more ideas for it but fewer established thread opportunities.

- Antigone & Tiberius Lestrange have a handful of servants to offset their house elf staff in the country but they semi regularly murder some of them. Lots of drama, more difficult to thread with others outside the household.

We talked about the Abercrombies as an option in the cbox and I am down <3

(Someone should def play Elwin because of the ~drama that can come from bad investments!)

I’d 100% join in, maybe as either the house keeper, or lady’s maid?

For families, I have:
- Evalina Rosier has a full staff and I’ve headcannoned a devoted lady’s maid for her - she hates Elladora Black >D

- @"Diana Fawley" and William Abbott are getting married and moving into a house together - they’ll need a smaller staff with them.

- @"Lillian Rowle" probably also has a smaller staff with her!!

- The Sanditon also need staff if I recall correctly!!

Another option we could do is for all of us involved wanting to participate is also just create a new family entirely - an NPC family. That way, we can all collectively make up some sort of drama to do with the family and it's easier since there's no one actively having their rep be affected by what the servants do.

If we want the best of both worlds - both NPC families AND a played family, we could do the Sanditon Inn - we make up guests who visited, and there are lots of things to speculate with events, etc that go on there.
