After a magical attempt on her life in 1877, Queen Victoria launched a crusade against magic that, while tidied up by the Ministry of Magic, saw the Wizarding community exiled to Hogsmeade, previously little more than a crossroad near the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. In the years that have passed since, Hogsmeade has suffered plagues, fires, and Victorian hypocrisy but is still standing firm.
Thethe year is now 1895. It’s time to join us and immerse yourself in scandal and drama interlaced with magic both light and dark.Where will you fall?

"Was summer well for you?"
"It was fabulous! You wouldn't believe the things I have to tell, Vesta. I couldn't have lived a better summer if it were a dream."
"You must tell me all about your summer! It sounds like this summer was the best one you've had in the last few years."
"Are you sure? You might want to get yourself some water. I could start with the people I have met! There was this amazing, handsome guy... so dreamy. Then I punched him in the face after he told me I should not play quidditch."
"Oh my! Did you apologise after? He should not have told you you couldn't play Quidditch, but you should not have punched him either!"
"Of course not! Who do you take me as? I defended my honor! How else am I supposed to look at myself in the mirror when I wake up?"
"I take you as a young lady! We are supposed to pretend like the things men say do not bother us!"
"So they can go about their ways, pointing out all the things they don't like about us?"
"No, but have you ever tried telling a man that they should not say the things they do? They laugh in our face because we are women and so much better than them."
"That's the spirit! Not the part that they laugh in our face, the part that we're better. Oh, Vesta, you must understand - we should not allow them to act foolishly. An insult is an insult, no matter who's behind it."
"You do not teach men what is foolish by punching them in the face! That only encourages them to do the same thing again. Have you not been paying attention to the men outside Hogwarts? They are violent creatures who act like violence is a way to say 'continue on with what you were doing; it is fabulous.'."
"Well, I suppose you're right about that, though it pains me to admit so. Nonetheless, I will still punch a guy if they say this to my face. Insulting my quidditch skills! As if I couldn't win against them with my eyes closed. However, have you never done something out of anger? Or exhaustion, from listening to their constant, childish complaints?"
"I doubt you could win with your eyes closed. Anyway, what do you expect to happen this year? Another death? Perhaps a murderer will break out of an asylum again."
"Have you never seen me play? Is that a challenge?"
"You are not on the house team, are you? You can't be that good at Quidditch. Don't change the subject. I asked you a question. We should have moved on from your 'quidditch' issue. "
"You know why I never bothered to try out! Fine, if that's what you want - I can make up conversation about how I'm worried about what is happening at Hogwarts and our world right at this moment, not possible tragedies. And if you really want to change subjects, then I won't bother to ask you to play quidditch with me. Not officially. "
