Hello, my name is Lynn and I love past threads. So rather than listing out past connections that might exist and then bantering about what kind of relationship they have now and then ultimately never doing anything with it, I decided to just start some threads and develop some relationships in retrospect.

(we can also banter about relationships if these premises don't appeal! I just also wanted to have threads xD)

WHO IS DRU
Dru is an UCPB socialite, 29yo and married to Albert Pettigrew. She is the stepdaughter of Evangeline Rowle. Secretly, she has a close group of Hogwarts friends with whom she explored dark magic and has done some shady things, including murdering her abusive father. She has never dealt with any of the trauma from her upbringing so she is bad at boundaries, a social thrill-seeker (casual interactions bore her, she wants the extremes of an emotional roller coaster but isn't self-aware enough to know that's what she's craving), and emotionally unscrupulous/manipulative.

I want her to have lots of unhealthy relationships <3 Toxic friends, romantic tension with people who aren't her husband, etc.

WAYS YOU MIGHT KNOW DRU

• Socialites doing socialite things. Dru tolerates all of you but thinks most of you are boring. Want to change her mind at a Lady's Club in 1888?
  
  
• Quidditch-adjacents. Her brother-in-law is Thom Pettigrew so there's an avenue for her to meet people that way
  
  
• People with obscure magical interests. Dru (secretly) got really into dark magic which involved lots of research at the library, buying weird books at stores, etc. If you have overlapping interests you might know her, or might have fought over a book.
  
  
• Prior suitors. Dru had some in her pre-dead-dad deb years (1883-1886) but her father pressured her to not encourage any of them. After she finished mourning for her dad she married literally the first person who asked so there is also a potential for 'wanted to approach again but never got the chance' or continuing angst. Come have a dance?
  
  
• School: Some of these existing characters in Dru's year, for reference: Cleon Broadmoor, Camilla Prewett, Irene Crawley, Thistle Potts. She has her established close friend group (two of whom are still open for play!) but might have had a few other friends. Probably sticking to wealthier female students as her dad would have disapproved of being too close with poor folks or male friends and she's already keeping some of those a secret, she needs friends she could openly discuss at home ;P

I can give you Marlena for obscure magical interests but getting them into the same place may be tricky? She isn't into dark magic exactly but she isn't averse.

Otherwise I only really have Ambrosia Selwyn as another socialite that hates everyone but is dedicated to keeping up appearances, two debs who will bore her and Elladora Black lurking on the edges of social gatherings glowering at everyone?

Yes! Dru wouldn't have been put out about not being prefect, she had bigger things to worry about at the time. I'm not sure they would be close but I could definitely see Dru pretending they were close as a convenient "appropriate friend" to talk about to her dad. Maybe Anthea got a few out-of-nowhere invites to hang out over summer break while they were in school xD ARE YOU UP FOR PAST THREADS because I always am but if not current threads works too

August is way too pure for her lmfao but yes they would know each other. And I dig her being friends with Camilla! Openly until scandal broke, still openly but more cautiously afterwards. I think her dad didn't mind her associating with non-PBs (on a friend/acquaintance level) but she would have been wary of anything else happening that he wouldn't have approved of.

I actually like past threads so I'm more than happy to do them... especially since cursing Anthea hahahaha. I will have to take a moment (cause I'm slow hahaha) to figure out what teen Anthea was like but it does sound like fun.
