Welcome back to my DELIGHTFUL ACTIVIST LAWYER MAN, August! August is a UCPB heir in his mid-30s, who is notable for being liberal and having a maybe-bastard. Following a failure to successfully court — or even ask her brother about courting — Grace Greengrass, August spent the bulk of the 1892 and 1893 seasons in Germany, returning to Hogsmeade for the election in 1893, in which he endorsed Ozymandias Dempsey. This season, he is really trying to find a wife — he is under familial pressure as well as the sense that his 10 year old son could use a second consistent parent.

ACTIVIST TYPES: August is very involved in British activist spaces — he's not quite Jude Wright-level leftist (he likes having money), but is openly pro-suffrage, and is friendly with people in leftier spaces. He endorsed Ozymandias Dempsey in the fall, and would have kept his activism up via letters and occasional visits when he was on the continent. He will be attending lots of activist-type and suffrage-type meetings regularly now that he is back!
FRIENDS: August is close with Thom Pettigrew and Leon Lupin, but could also use played friends lol. He was a Ravenclaw from the class of 1874, and is also a member of Magical Equity Club, but operates in UCPB spaces a non-zero amount of the time because of his family.
DEFENSE ATTORNEY THINGS: August is a defense attorney; he takes on cases where he has an activist interest pro bono, and cases where he does not have an activist interest for a good amount of money. (Ex. he represented the vampire Galina for free when she was held on suspicion of murder (she was acquitted), and was paid to represent Argus Scrimgeour.) Do you need a defense attorney or legal advice? Hit me/him up!
HURLING: August is very hurlable to UCAB and MCAB women — he struggles to establish connections and has historically wanted a love match, but tends to be most into women who are unattainable. He goes to most society spaces. Is most likely to hit it off with women who have more liberal families (and especially personalities), but could be a good drama option for people from conservative families? He's also older so isn't as likely to go for a #fresh debutante anymore but that hasn't stopped him from developing attraction in the past so you know what up to whoever >>

I have Longwei Chang as a fellow lawyerino - staying sexy and not getting disbarred. Longwei's dad has him on a tight leash - so August has the career Longwei wishes he had.

Thaddeus Flint might be in the friendverse but think's he's a bit of a weirdo- but tolerates him.

for hurls - Christabel - He ticks all the boxes she thinks she wants and bastards wouldn't put her off, she would think it makes him rather daring and progressive. So on paper he's pretty much what she thinks she wants.
Chris also fits in the activist territory so also possible activist friends.

Also Harry is on Oz's committee for voting reform, so has gone from "privately pretty liberal" to "publicly pro-universal suffrage" so there's always that. XD

He also might know Protego Lochrin who was a couple years ahead of him, in Slytherin, but idk if they'd have had much reason to interact since.
