Jacques is an artist who technically owns a music shop though it is destined to be handed down to his nephew, Tristan Michaud. He can sometimes be found at most of Tristans quidditch games in support (and also to check out Quidditch Players).  He moved to the UK in 1882. He worked in the Ministry from 1883 to 1885 despite having always been an artist. In 1888, he  illustrated J. Alfred Darrows memoirs, The Untold Story of the Sycorax Expedition. Since then he has also illustrated a few other works by other wizarding authors since then.

Jac is a quarter vampire and there have been rumours about this fact following the half-breed ban but nothing was ever confirmed. So people don't fully know that the rumour was truth.

Former Ministry Co-workers: Jacques worked as a Translator in the Department of International Magical Co-Operation from 1883 to 1885. He quit shortly after the Ministry explosion.

Work: Jacques is an artist primarily so he can be commissioned for all sorts of works. He also does illustrations for wizarding authors though he did not start doing so until after Alfreds memoirs as that was his first illustration project.

Friends: They are likely to be few in number as Jacques can be a bit ornery and hard to deal with when he is in a mood. Those that stick around, he would cherish deeply.

Romance: Jacques was in an intensely romantic affair with Ozias Lowe from 1885-1887. Since then, he has been a little closed off romantically but it's been a few years so he is likely able to fall in love again. He's also open to having had past flings post-1887 or presently.

* @"Sophia Voss" Their ballet company might contract musicians on a regular basis, these are major productions with good pay, the afterparties are legendary for hedonistic stuff, and the community overall is veryyy gay-friendly (and french friendly LOL). So they could become pals through these means
* Thomas Harvey is 'bendy' enough sexuality wise but also just a good people talker so liable to make friends literally anywhere, anytime. They were at Ministry together (he was Department of Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures ~'80-'86) and sort of famously rage quit so there could be whatever there
* Cassian Valenduris is so, so, soooooo far in the closet. Refuses to recognize his attraction to men. But figure I can offer him up to any situations where he unintentionally confronts this part of himself. It'd be an emotionally heavy thing and not a happy ending tho

I have in Felix's history that he has had several flings since he graduated school but have never established any (whoops). Totally open to the idea of them being livers or even just a fling some time in the past. Just let me know

I don't have anyone suuuper useful, but potentially: Phyri for illustrating her poetry, Bram for arty friend, Barnaby who would haunt the shop for musical reasons if heard about it somewhere, Ishmael if you want vampire things, he and Yassine missed each other at Beauxbatons in schoolyears but might have met at quidditch things?

- Jac isn't a musician (he is an artist in the sense of paints, sculpting, drawing, sketching, etc), just technically owns a shop that sells them. He is an artist though and probably goes to some of those afterparties due to connected hedonistic folk so perhaps that could be an avenue for potentially meeting Sophia instead?
- Oo, that could be fun to explore with Thomas. Jac also kind of rage quit but much more passively after the Ministry explosion of 1885. So he was already out of there when Thomas quit but Jac could have heard of it through the vine? xD
- We could see what happens with Cassius!
