Dot bit her lip and offered a somewhat sheepish smile. "Well, that will certainly put a damper on our holiday," she joked lightly. She could just imagine her sister's reaction if Dot spent the rest of the week laid up in an armchair with her foot propped up on a pillow, having to goad the rest of her family into helping her apply a potion to her healing bite.

Actually, that sounded a bit fun — maybe she would go out of her way to ensure her sister was the one tasked with helping her.
