Maybe the owl won't leave him alone either because it was expecting a return response.

Basically what I'm saying is this could be the setup for a pair of pen pals! I think it could be a fun, and unique way to make a friend before the schoolyear even starts.

I have lil Link here to offer for this possibility! He spends a lot of time being cooped up in his room because of his tendency to fall ill/his mother overprotectiveness so it would be a super ideal situation for me for him to develop friendships. xD
