Fellow Incoming Muggleborn Firsties~ - Imane Tuttle - February 3, 2022

Sooo I've actually had an incoming muggleborn firstie kicking around for awhile and ever since past Stefanie busted out the app on gdocs while hopped up on cold meds I've been excitedly waiting the summer for Diagon Alley threads. However I do really enjoy the idea of getting some posts in with him beforehand [I've never wrote someone so young before!] and was curious if any of you were also in this boat or had been toying with the idea as well. If so, I'd LOVE to have our characters be friends pre-Hogwarts and thread them out in the Elsewhere forums as they await the approaching school year!

ALSO for perhaps any non-muggleborn soon to be firsties, I was thinking a fun plot idea would be if a character were to send an owl out but either due to it getting lost, or maybe being younger the child has given poor instructions the owl has found its way to my muggleborn character. Because of his later September bday he'd have already received his letter and been given the usual muggleborn rundown of whats up from a Hogwarts faculty member. I'd like to imagine part of this might include a mention of owls [because didn't they receive a school shopping list via owl later on? I can't recall], and that if one were to turn up at his home the bit of knowledge he'd have would tell him it meant something magic. Maybe the owl won't leave him alone either because it was expecting a return response.

Basically what I'm saying is this could be the setup for a pair of pen pals! I think it could be a fun, and unique way to make a friend before the schoolyear even starts.

I have lil Link here to offer for this possibility! He spends a lot of time being cooped up in his room because of his tendency to fall ill/his mother overprotectiveness so it would be a super ideal situation for me for him to develop friendships. xD

Meserimus and Murdock both have first year kids - but if others have families I can pilfer a firstie from I am def interested! Especially if there are some pre-Hogwarts highjinks threads to be had!

I think he would and I'm personally a sucker for Introvert x Extrovert friendships <3 I'll have Lincoln send out a "wayward" owl to get them started! :D
