At this, Ophelia laughed aloud. She had heard of unfortunate women who sold their bodies, but it had never occurred to her that any man might. Who would hire them? Women didn't have such fervent desires as she had been told men did, which was supposedly the reason they visited such fallen women in the first place. Outside of this very particular set of circumstances, Ophelia couldn't imagine a male in that 'profession' would have much business.
