"Oh, I believe the boardwalk is down that way a bit," Freya replied happily as they began to walk down the sidewalk towards the main pier. How long had it been since she was last this elated to be in her husband's presence? Was it she who began to neglect him, or had he begun to withdraw from her too? Freya didn't know, though she was certain August played a part in her confusion.

"The main resort is where most of the festivities take place, soirees and the like," she explained. "And there are all sorts of shops along the boardwalk. I was thinking to purchase a painting or two for home before we leave."
