The Great Character Survey: 2020 Revival Edition
#30
CHARACTER NAME: Helga Mildred Milburga Scamander
BECAUSE… Once upon a time, Helga was Eugene's second cousin and I posted her a whole one time. When we migrated to the new board, I revamped her as Eugene's sister and gave her a personality overhaul.

CREATION DATE: March of 2018 for her new incarnation!
BIRTH YEAR: 1869
PLANNED DEMISE: Happily married in old age, if I have anything to do with it!
HOGWARTS HOUSE: Hufflepuff! The longer I play her the more of an argument I could make for Slytherin, but for now she's a solid Slytherpuff (Hufflein?) in my mind.
BOGGART: Her family unhappy. I feel like this is due for a change one of these days >.>
AMORTENTIA: Quoted from her profile: " Her Mama's perfume, which reminds her of the comforts of home; smoke from burning firewood, which reminds her of the Hufflepuff common room and the nearby kitchen; and Honeyduke's sweet shop, which is where she spent many Hogsmeade weekends." This too is long overdue for a revamp <.<
PATRONUS: She can't cast one, but if she could it would be a squirrel!
RESIDENCE: North Bartonburg!

ASOIF/GOT HOUSE: Lannister
DIVERGENT FACTION: Candor, probably.

CLOSEST RELATION: Veronica Gallivan
BEST FRIEND: Nora Abercrombie and Lucille Lukeson (before she bit the dust)
NEMESIS: Nobody. Yet.
MOST OFTEN POSTED WITH: She's got a pretty even mix of people, but recently it's been Cecily Gallivan and Beckett Longbottom.
I DREAM OF POSTING WITH… All of the bachelors I haven't threaded with yet Wink

IN THE MODERN AGE… Exactly the same as she is now: a gold-digging girl who attended a good school and spends time around her much richer friends in the hopes of snagging a husband.
DURING THE WAR… She'd be absolutely terrified but would remain neutral.

THOUGHTS ON MUGGLES: They deserve rights and all that, but they could never understand the life of wizards and witches! Helga does pity them, but she wants nothing to do with their world.
THOUGHTS ON BLOOD PURITY: It's a convenient tool to use for her goals but she personally doesn't discriminate.
THOUGHTS ON ARRANGED MARRIAGES: Horrid. Unless she could get a kind, rich, young, powerful, handsome man out of a match, she doesn't want one.
THOUGHTS ON CLASS DISTINCTION: IT IS STUPID unless you're poor. She wishes social mobility, especially between the middle and upper classes, was easier. Why can't she be rich just because her Papa wasn't rich?

PROGRESS SO FAR:

— Graduated from Hogwarts and debuted.
— Began leeching off her friends for invites to high society events.
— Has threaded with half the bachelors on this board.
— Is very picky for a girl who hasn't received an offer of courtship.
— Almost killed people with an axe.
— Her friend died? (Unrelated to above.)

IMMEDIATE GOALS: Get an offer of courtship from her Ideal Gentleman.
LONG-TERM GOALS: Be loved by everyone in society for being the best hostess and socialite. See Eugene and Marlena respectably married so they don't ruin her life.
