The Great Character Survey: 2020 Revival Edition
#28
CHARACTER NAME: Ursula Lucetta Black nee Flint
BECAUSE… I wanted Iola but she was taken and for some reason Elladora seemed too old to me (bear in mind I was used to playing HP era Bellatrix almost exclusively at the time who was much older) so I settled for Ursula. Even I didn't want Ursula.
CREATION DATE: December 21st, 2010
BIRTH YEAR: 1857
PLANNED DEMISE: Coming soon!
HOGWARTS HOUSE: Slytherin
BOGGART: At the moment probably Elladora (holding Belvina) and Rufina with their backs turned to her meaning they've severed all ties and association with her.
AMORTENTIA: Elladora Black, Thom Pettigrew, sea breeze. Fresh linen used to be in there but I reckon she got a lot of that during her illness and now associates it with unpleasantness. Since she was in the country house when she was sick, one of the first smells she would have smelled once she was well enough to walk about outside again would've been a sea breeze.
PATRONUS: Ursula might be able to summon up a patronus now but she's got no real reason to try. I maintain that it'd be a black bear as would her animagus form were she to have one of those.
RESIDENCE: 12 Grimmauld Place, London | Rigel House, Cumbria

ASOIF/GOT HOUSE: Lannister or Targaryen

CLOSEST RELATION: Elladora Black
BEST FRIEND: Rufina Mulciber
NEMESIS: Hannah Pettigrew
MOST OFTEN POSTED WITH: Elladora Black of late
I DREAM OF POSTING WITH… Evalina Rosier - I feel like that thread might be the cackle-inducing sort

IN THE MODERN AGE… Modern muggle Ursula would probably still have married for status and regretted it. Alternatively if she fell in love in her late teens and the guy was ambitious or wealthy or impressive she'd have probably rushed into a marriage really young. It would only end happily if she felt confident he wasn't cheating on her and they encountered like no financial or social obstacles that might sour her affection for him.

Occupationally she'd end up doing something like high end fashion design.
DURING THE WAR… Ursula would spout the pureblood ideology and be in favor of Voldy but would have minimal actual involvement in it all. She likes a little excitement but ultimately she's a coward.

THOUGHTS ON MUGGLES: Gross.
THOUGHTS ON BLOOD PURITY: It's common sense, duh.
THOUGHTS ON ARRANGED MARRIAGES: Ehhhh. She's fairly neutral although she definitely ships her children with other children. Sirius and Flora
THOUGHTS ON CLASS DISTINCTION: Necessary and highly important. The world would not make sense to her without it.

PROGRESS SO FAR: Do I really have to? I've literally got a decade of bullshit here. Her profile ends at 1888 so I'll fill in the rest here.
- Moping.
- Final impregnation.
- Coincidental death dream which prompts months of paranoia and emotional vulnerability.
- Grew heavily dependent on Elladora as her only source of care, affection, and company.
- Kissed her sister-in-law.
- Sent out melodramatic letters to her nearest and dearest.
- Died. Gives birth to Cygnus, loses her womb, and crawls back (very slowly) from the brink of death.

IMMEDIATE GOALS: Reassert herself in society.
LONG-TERM GOALS: Be loved by someone, find happiness.
