The Great Character Survey: 2020 Revival Edition
#13
CHARACTER NAME: Tiberius Domitian Lestrange
BECAUSE… Kayte had an ad up for Tib & Tatty but I legit don't even know why. He predates Lucius (and that whole branch of the family). I think technically he was a wanted ad for Olivia Pendergast? Which like, lol, idk if they ever even threaded. I picked him up on a whim because the smirk his PB had just spoke to me xD

CREATION DATE: March 30, 2012
BIRTH YEAR: 1862
PLANNED DEMISE: If one of his illegal schemes was about to come to light and he couldn't avoid exposure he'd off himself to protect the family reputation and avoid prison.
HOGWARTS HOUSE: Slytherin
BOGGART: IDK but it probably involves Tig.
AMORTENTIA: ... also probably involves Tig.
PATRONUS: JKR canon says dark wizards can't cast one (I guess if they meet dementors they just... die? Seems inconvenient idk) so Tib can't. He once lied to Antigone and said it was a wolf.
RESIDENCE: Oakshire Hall, Kent. It's an isolated and somewhat gloomy estate he inherited from his father.

ASOIF/GOT HOUSE: Lannister
DIVERGENT FACTION: Erudite

CLOSEST RELATION: Lucius Lestrange
BEST FRIEND: Tib's friends never stay played long because tbh it's difficult to play purist classist dark wizard assholes xD Their thread/plot opportunities are limited.
NEMESIS: idk, sometimes his wife xD There are lots of people he dislikes but he doesn't care enough to consider them enemies.
MOST OFTEN POSTED WITH: Antigone Lestrange, no question.
I DREAM OF POSTING WITH… I don't have a specific person but I'd appreciate if he would show an interest in threading with anyone other than his family >>

IN THE MODERN AGE… He'd be a highly successful business type and then late in his career a massive scandal would come out a la Epstein (not w/ child sex but like in the "holy shit this guy was connected to everyone in the worst possible way, how did no one know?!" way)
DURING THE WAR… Chill background bad guy. Shows up for the fights and tortures some prisoners to get information but isn't on the front lines with a crush on the Big Bad or anything.

THOUGHTS ON MUGGLES: Necessary in the same way cows and sheep are.
THOUGHTS ON BLOOD PURITY: Purist. Wants his friends to be pure & would disown family for marrying non pure. Can interact with others but he's not interested in them as people, just uses them as means to an end.
THOUGHTS ON ARRANGED MARRIAGES: Generally a good idea because most women can't be trusted to make their own decisions here. Tatty is an exception.
THOUGHTS ON CLASS DISTINCTION: Classist, see "blood purity" above. Also would discriminate against new money UC.

PROGRESS SO FAR:
- Learned legilimency
- Knocked up a classmate but she didn't tell him about the baby
- Experimented with Unforgiveable Curses and murdered a Hogwarts professor via Imperio proxy. His first murder! So cute!
- Had a lengthy unhealthy will-they- won't-they thing with his cousin Valeria
- Eventually fathered two of Valeria's children
- Tormented Cash FOR SCIENCE and accidentally found out he was gay
- Kidnapped / memory wiped Cash's lover as a "favour" to Cash
- Arranged his own marriage and spent a few years torturing his betrothed via letter
- Joined the DoM
- Married Tig
- Had twin girls
- Made Tig take an Unbreakable Vow after she fucked off on an unexpected vacation for a few weeks once
- Discovered Cash's lover was back and told Lucius about it, then cleaned up the scene after Lucius murdered him
- Bought a child and then later burned down multiple properties to prevent his connection to the slave trader from being uncovered (and killed Hannah Pettigrew's twin in the process)
- Got his wife pregnant again and did some shady magic that indicated the kid was a girl so he tried to stealth abort it
- Nearly killed his wife on accident but saved her
- Baby ended up male but deformed so he killed it
- Arranged a whole 'handmaid's tale' thing with Cash to cover the fact that Antigone's womb was wrecked after that.
- Staged the death of one of the twins to avoid bad luck
- Became an Animagus
- Was fired from the DoM but rehired when Ernest wasn't looking
- Convinced Tig to abort a surprise!pregnancy because it was potentially high risk

IMMEDIATE GOALS: Get Cash married so he can start trying for a proxy heir, keep Antigone from maiming Ellory, get Tatty married.
LONG-TERM GOALS: Having one of his biological kids (his, Valeria's, "Cash's") inherit Fort Lestrange.
