The Great Character Survey: 2020 Revival Edition
#9
CHARACTER NAME: Cecily Grace Gallivan
BECAUSE… I think I wanted to use Sleepy Hollow Christina Ricci as a PB and 14 year old me thought that she totally looks like a 10 year old. For real, when I was a child myself I used to think that 23 year olds for example look 30 and 14-year-olds 20. I now find it so weird when I see tween characters with PBs in their twenties. xD

ANYWAYS Kayte suggested Chloe Moretz. I also think that she really didn't want me taking Cee and tbh I wouldn't want me too back then. But she gave me a chance and threaded with me even though English REALLY was my second language then and now it's been nearly 10 years since I've made Cee! <3

CREATION DATE: She's my oldest played character. I think it was 2010 or 2011.
BIRTH YEAR: 1870
PLANNED DEMISE: I like the idea of her being murdered by a rivaling Quidditch sponsor.
HOGWARTS HOUSE: Ravenclaw. That's the House she got from the Sorting thread! However, if I was to make her now I'd probably go with Gryffindor or Hufflepuff if I'm being honest.
BOGGART: A werewolf.
AMORTENTIA: Roses, morning due, a hint of her late mother's perfume
PATRONUS: I have no idea omg. I wanna say a reindeer.
RESIDENCE: 2 Crescent Moon, North Bartonburg

ASOIF/GOT HOUSE: Arryn, Stark or Mormont
DIVERGENT FACTION: Dauntless probably

CLOSEST RELATION: She's equally close, in different ways, both to Veronica and Theo.
BEST FRIEND: Charlotte Beauregard
NEMESIS: William Abbott. Not really, but he's a played character she actively dislikes. xD
MOST OFTEN POSTED WITH: Her family, probably.
I DREAM OF POSTING WITH… Thom Pettigrew and generally anyone involved in Quidditch!

IN THE MODERN AGE… She'd be doing a sport since she was little, probably tried out to get in the Olympic team. I wanna say track and field or volleyball. She would then do a degree in Physical Sciences and then a Postgrad in Sports Businesses and work in the sports business. Her family would own a soccer team or shares for Nike or something. She would also briefly do an Insta with workout tips and model for some athletic brand.
DURING THE WAR… She would fight Deatheaters if need be, but generally try to lay low.

THOUGHTS ON MUGGLES: Her mother was a muggle so she doesn't hate them. She wouldn't want to be one, though.
THOUGHTS ON BLOOD PURITY: Can't stand blood purists.
THOUGHTS ON ARRANGED MARRIAGES: She's glad her own family doesn't do that. She believes that there is no need for arranged marriages if you raise your children well, so they don't go for someone who wouldn't respect them etc.
THOUGHTS ON CLASS DISTINCTION: She wishes there was money for everyone! She's definitely a Privileged Leftist type xD

PROGRESS SO FAR:
  • Pretty much was played from pre-Hogwarts to life after graduation. But I was flaky during her 2 final years so I don't get the Hogwarts Is My Home stamp. Sad

  • She got blinded by a blood purist professor in her 1st or 2nd year.

  • She made the Ravenclaw Quidditch team and later became its captain.

  • Witnessed Thaniel get turned into a werewolf. This made her enter her angsty emo teenage phase.

  • Graduated OOC, went to finishing school, lost her dad.

  • She's currently debutanting and helping Theo run the Chuddley Cannons. I confess that I enjoy Cee as a character WAY more now, than as she was a Hogwarts student. I confess that I times I found her character to have become stagnant and boring and it was only loyalty to her being so old OOC that kept me from dropping her. And now she's SO FUN and on her way of becoming one of my favourites!

  • Cee has changed a lot since I first made her. In the very beginning, she was a sweet and angelic girl, soft spoken in her pink and ribbons, pretty much. At some point she was way more tomboyish and emo and a beater at Hogwarts because we didn't have any rules against girls being beaters and she wanted to rebel against Thaniel. I approached her from many different angles, I guess to find out which feels more comfortable. I think it's kind of realistic, seeing that everyone has different phases in their teens, so that was definitely the case with Cee as well. I now have a Cee who has both a soft and rose-loving feminine side but also a more brash and tomboyish and Quidditch loving side.

IMMEDIATE GOALS: QWC threads. Have another cute thread with Beckett Longbottom.
LONG-TERM GOALS: Cee would really want to take over the Chuddley Cannons one day.
