Eyes narrowed, Themis watched her housemates for a long moment, her wand at the ready. She believed nothing that came from McMullen, a rather safe position, in her estimation. On the best of days, the boy was an idiot. It was with great pleasure and no small amount of vindictiveness that Themis aimed her wand and confidently pronounced "Silencio!" Whatever Daniel bloody Reymund thought about her offensive skills, she had worked diligently in charms. "Now, we are going quietly back to the Tower and you will explain yourselves." she said the last, aiming her wand at Daniel, knowing just how worthless he was at nonverbal magic. "And if you don't tell the truth, I will." It was a promise she dared them both to test, her temper hot and her newfound advantage emboldening her. The look from the two boys was a mix of rage and disbelief. Good. Let them worry the whole way back. It suited her just fine to keep them both off balance.
She shifted position, never lowering her wand as two pairs of rage-filled eyes stomped past her, Daniel's cocky attitude beginning to falter but still visible in his eyes. Let him doubt her. He would know just how serious she was soon enough. Themis let them get ahead of her, placing plenty of space between herself and the boys in case they chose retaliation here on the lawn. She cast a look back at the forest, the hairs at the back of her neck prickling. Something was out there, something that neither wizard wanted her to investigate. Curiosity compelled examination, but Themis held back. It was the Forbidden Forest for a reason. She wouldn't venture there alone at night; she valued her life. Still, she watched the treeline momentarily, shadows playing tricks with her. She could still feel eyes, but shook the feeling. It wouldn't do to investigate. With a final look over her shoulder, she began the hike back to the castle. Tonight was far from over.
