Welcome to Charming, where swirling petticoats, the language of flowers, and old-fashioned duels are only the beginning of what is lying underneath…
After a magical attempt on her life in 1877, Queen Victoria launched a crusade against magic that, while tidied up by the Ministry of Magic, saw the Wizarding community exiled to Hogsmeade, previously little more than a crossroad near the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. In the years that have passed since, Hogsmeade has suffered plagues, fires, and Victorian hypocrisy but is still standing firm.
Thethe year is now 1895. It’s time to join us and immerse yourself in scandal and drama interlaced with magic both light and dark.

Did You Know?
Did you know? Jewelry of jet was the haute jewelry of the Victorian era. — Fallin
The club being right across from St. Mungos made it an ideal place to grab a meal after work. It had been a long day and he was looking forward to unwinding. Thankfully, he had no social obligations or events in the evening. He was planning to relax this weekend and catch up on some much needed leisure reading. And there was no time like the present!
Sitting at one of the tables with stew and a mug of ale, Richard turned the pages of The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes. It was looking to be a relaxing evening indeed though it would not be long before acquaintances were likely to spot him. His connection to others in the medical field had only grown tenfold since becoming hospital director.
Salvatore had been married two weeks now and several of his old colleagues from St. Mungos had invited him out for lunch. It was a fun afternoon, if a little rambunctious; it had taken surgical alcohol to remove some of the more "marital suggestive" marks they had inked on him. The most learned could still be louts, it was almost relaxing.
He decided he might catch a drink and see who was about at Bones before he flooed home for the night. He spotted a man he hadn't seen enough in the couple of years since he changed hospitals beyond the odd passing interactions at symposiums. "Director Gladstone, it's a pleasure to see you." he glanced down on the book. "Excellent reading choice, are you waiting for anyone." The healer would take a seat if offered or move on.
Richard smiled as he recognized the man speaking to him. The man had left for Hogsmeade Hospital sometime after Richard had been made Director. About a year or so after. He had been at the younger mans wedding so obviously there were no hard feelings at all.
"I am not waiting on anyone," he answered, not at all adverse to the company. "How has married life been treating you?"
Salvatore sat himself down next to his old colleague and held his finger up service. "Get you a drink?" he ordered for himself and Gladstone.
"I think marriage suits me quite well, Cordie is wonderful, which should come as no suprise." he smiled warmly thinking of her and the life they were just starting. "And how goes the directorship?"
"Much appreciated," Richard said with a smile when Howlett ordered a drink for him.
He listened as the young man spoke of marriage suiting him. "I am glad to hear it. You are both lovely people who deserve sheer happiness," Richard said. "It goes well though is understandably very tiring." Bright side was there was no current mass need for medical care like it had been during the dragon attacks or sinkhole.
