Relief swept through her until it was replaced entirely by an undeniable disbelief. And anger. Daff was not often angry, in fact she wasn't sure she'd ever been quite this riled up, but how could he be so stupid?
"Not dead," her hands were shaking under the blanket she had pulled tightly around her. "Just some approximation of it." The fact that she'd started to tear up was beside the point. The fact that it sounded like he was screwing around with testing potions on himself again was not lost on her either. Hadn't he learned from last time? Clearly he didn't care what anyone else thought; anyone who cared about him, that was.
Her voice was deadly quiet, even. "I sure haven't. Show me." She demanded. Never mind it was the middle of the night, or that she was in her nightgown and slippers. Daff wouldn't be able to breathe until she saw he was physically alright.
