She had been sleeping better. She had. It had been good for a while. What was different tonight, she didn't know. Maybe it was the fact that she was at her parents this evening and had stayed later than was necessary after dinner and didn't have her dreamless sleep potion, maybe it was Zinnia's tossing and turning in bed next to her, but Daff hadn't been able to fall asleep and had given up after a while.
At first she'd just gone downstairs to read, thought about just hopping in the floo and heading back to her flat. She had half a mind to head somewhere else, but didn't think a midnight intrusion to Elias' was a good idea. This was just a blip and she didn't want to worry him. If it kept up, she'd tell him. She would. She had promised. Zin too. It was why she'd snuggled into her sister's room tonight rather than head home. Something was up with her sister, but Daff couldn't put her finger on it, nor was she ready to ask yet either.
Daff wasn't sure what had pulled her out into the garden after midnight, but she'd been hoping the cold, fresh air would help calm her mind. Just a little walk around the garden. Wrapped in a heavy blanket and charmed to be warm, she stepped out into the garden proper and noticed something... someone? Hovering near the pond. Daff ventured out further, recognizing the opalescence of a ghost, wondering if they were perhaps lost. Or maybe she was hallucinating. One sleepless night usually didn't do that to her, but she could have sworn it was... "Noble?"
