Edgar,Roselle, my new youngest sister, has been born. My mother, your aunt, died while giving birth. My father died in unknown circumstances — I am unsure if it was murder or if it was of natural causes. Either way, the news caused Mother great stress and she went into premature labour. Please pass the news onto Bellerose. My siblings should be getting a letter soon enough from Ace.Love,

Avril,I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Will you come to live with us? I'm sure that my father would be willing to take you in. How are Sybille and Ace taking it? Have you heard from our grandparents? I'm sorry if I am overwhelming you. If you don't want to deal with these questions, feel free to ask my father to send some answers, if it eases your mind. Edgar, I wish we were. Aunt Jade has already claimed guardianship over all of the underage Lukeson's. Ace and Sybille are... taking it as well as could be expected. Grandfather thinks it's a great thing, for our family won't be as close to yours any longer with Mother gone. I wish I were still at Hogwarts... I would have a year and a half to ignore Aunt Jade's purist ways (breaks don't count; I would still be able to ignore her).

Avril,Well, don't think that will stop us from visiting you. That, and we could meet in public. Perhaps you can go shopping and we could go to a book store. I am always up for a new book.

Grandfather is just awful, to think such thing of his own daughter's death. And to think he acted as though he loved her. But then again, he is a heartless man who would outcast any of his family that do not agree with him, if grandmother didn't speak up of it. She seems to be the only one he will listen to.

I hope Aunt Jade's views don't go to Roselle's head. I know Sybille is too kind to view such things, but Roselle is a new born, with a mind that is young enough to listen to such views.

Edgar, I apologize for the delay in responding. Even if it is only a few days after your last letter. Aunt Jade is monitoring our letters. I had to send it early in the morning... before she awoke.

I hope so too, Edgar. We'll do what we can to make sure Roselle doesn't view the world the same as the rest of our family. But we can't be there all the time, and with Aunt Jade raising her... I fear she may turn out just like Aunt Jade.

I would like to meet up, if we could. How about this next Hogsmeade trip? Aunt Jade may insist on joining, for she doesn't trust any of us alone. She won't be that difficult to sneak away from, though. She'll be to focused on my little sister to worry about me.

Edgar, Correction: Ace is the legal guardian, Aunt Jade is just hovering over him. Since he's so young... I don't know which is worse. On one hand, Aunt Jade wouldn't be my first choice... but she is a parent and she is more of an adult than Ace... On the other, Ace is the oldest and he is responsible. He's not even nine-teen yet... I just don't think he's ready to be a father. Plus, if he ever wanted to get married, being the 'legal guardian' of an infant would certainly make it more difficult...

being a Seer is problem enough, I can't image how difficult it would be to live if I had to take care of someone else on top of my... ability...

Avril,I am sorry for the even later response, school got so busy for me. Just wait until I am in my fifth year!

Ace is probably the best choice. I've always seen him as quite rational, even for his age. Even with if he became busy with work, I'm sure he would leave your younger siblings in better care than Aunt Jade. Let him know that my mother would be quite happy to spend some quality time with her nieces and nephew, especially now that summer is hear. It could be just like my sister last summer at your home, if Ace becomes busy enough.
