Dear Mr. Beauregard,
I came across these bonbons in my shopping yesterday after our most unfortunate encounter. (Well, unfortunate for the snake, but most fortunate for me that you were nearby!)
I hope you will accept them as a token of my gratitude for all past, and likely future, efforts.
Despite my best intentions I have a feeling there may well be a time or two to come in which I may rely on you again.
eternally in your debt,
Ms. Poppy Dashwood
