It might've happened to me today! I hit post preview and then started editing a sentence immediately and suddenly it reverted. I'm still baffled by this, my best guess it's the sceditor (the posting box) and something to do with cookies/cache/JavaScript. I'll have to look over the changed file list and see if any mess with it's code

I did some messing around with the jquery files and one of the plugin files to try and fix the issue. I highly doubt I've sorted it but lmk if you encounter this issue so I know it's still a thing.

A new thing happened! It deleted the first sentence and a half that I'd written, but left my [post] and first character intact.

IRONICALLY it also did that while I was typing this and deleted everything I wrote after "A new thing happened!"

Charming is haunting me and it's reached the trolling stage lol.

WELP just happened to me! Once during a post on this account, and actually just again when I was responding to this thread.

Are you using the same browser on all devices, if so are they synced? No, I use Chrome on my laptop and Safari on my phone
Does it always happen on the same wifi network? | Only happened once, but I have been on my home wifi network with both times
Is it refreshing the entire page or just the text box? | Just the text box - part of the message disappears
Does it happen on all accounts or does it seem to be only some e.g. maybe new accounts? | Only has happened to this account so far
Do your accounts have the default text editor set to source mode? | Yes
Does it happen immediately after switching accounts? | No

One thing I did notice is that both times it happened, it happened AFTER I'd copy + pasted something into the box. For the post, I'd written most of it in Notion, then c+p'd over to Charming. Then I added the post tags and bold tags for text, then wanted to add another sentence, so I was typing in the middle of the c+p'd field.

For this response, I'd just c+p'd the questions, and started adding the message above the c+p'd field.

I'm DMing you the screenshot I have of the errors that came up on my end when I inspected!

Still happening to me too! When I post! On all accounts that I’ve seen so far. It’s almost like the browser reloads a bit and undoes the last few things I’ve typed/added via the buttons (bold etc.) Not super helpful I’m so sorry

  

Happening to me too lately. It's almost like the site is hitting ctrl+z/undo on me. I usually get my content back by hitting ctrl+z but figured I'd still chime in!

I just realized in the last week this has been happening to me. Up till now I've been chalking it up to me hitting something wrong on my phone. Buuuut it's happening on the kindle now too.

That said I was working on a post in a pm this morning and noticed something. The pages on Charming have been taking a long time to load, so I often have a spinning circle on the tab when I start writing on the kindle (my phone doesn't show me this but I suspect this may be the case as well - I've been typing for a minute now and it's still up there spinning), I had just gone to copy the text for when the tab finished loading, which I had a suspicion it would disappear and before I could the text disappeared as soon as the loading circle did.

Sooooo all this to say, I wonder if it is a response time thing. Where pages are still loading when we start to reply in the text boxes?

For the first time today this happened multiple times on the same page. Working on a WW article so there's a lot of jumping around in a template, highlighting and deleting, etc - in both cases it put text back in after I had erased it. Fixed with a control+z. Happened twice so far. I'm definitely outside the window where you would expect the page to still be loading - it's been around 15 mins since I started working on it and the second one JUST occurred.

EDIT: I realized I am using the "preview post" button periodically so it might still be ~1 reload per 'post', sorry this is not that helpful xD

So I noticed it happened just now when I was on the reply page to a thread I'd just revived. Thing is, I hadn't typed anything in the box yet, I'd just scrolled down to see the previous post when the page suddenly jumped back up to the post box again.

I was also loading another page like Fallin said, and those were still loading according to the tab bars, so I did an experiment and managed to replicate the issue. But then I closed out of Chrome and opened just one window and did the same thing where I go to the reply page, didn't type anything in, and scrolled down to the last post. Page still jumped back up to the post box :/

I'm not sure about everyone else but within the past week or two the frequency of the text deletions has increased dramatically. It occurs on all my phone, tablet, and computer. It has happened three or four times within this one post I'm working on now in a 20/30 minute span.

Control z does fix it on my computer but n hi it just happened now and deleted from here back to span nothing to do on the phone or tablet.

^ agree with the uptick in frequency! This used to be a "it happens sometimes but I can't predict when!" thing and now this is reliably occurring every time I post. Any character, any thread, any device - at some point I will get reset back to the beginning.

I've been periodically using select all+copy while mobile posting so that when it inevitably erases everything I can paste back what I had. The other option I guess would be to wait ** until it reloads before starting your post? But I haven't been able to nail down how long it takes (it feels like now it happens later/with more text on the page, in addition to happening more often?)
