After a discussion in the cbox, it was decided we should have an adult herbology club for our herb nerds! Meeting location is TBD. We'll need a leader/organizer of sorts. My Finlay Connolly is an herb nerd with his own greenhouse and likes to create pretty, semi-useful species.

They'll be an inclusive, cozy, welcoming sort so anyone sensitive to rep levels probably won't be the most comfortable with the group. (Obvs don't be a murderer or a criminal or anything.) A once monthly meeting would probably work best? They can chat, swap seeds/sprouts, discuss fertilizer, etc.

Brainstorm etc. here!

  

Bella Scrimgeour is here because obviously. She's definitely not the leader type, and would probably be voted "Most Likely to Disappear for Three Months" in the event that she's shoved into hiding or something ridiculously Bella-ish.

But I do think Andrew Lyness or Durant Lécuyer would be interested in this.

Andrew would likely stop going if it could cause scandal as he is already in enough of that, having married a Veela, though is super inclusive and friendly.

Durant just doesn't care and just wants a hobby - and herbology etc seems a good way to go.

I'm also making a new character soon who is a herb nerd though has no owls as he dropped out, so he probably would go there more to learn about herbs and herbology.

Esther Browne would be interested in this, provided...

- Andrew Lyness and his family members aren't involved, as she wouldn't feel comfortable socializing with someone who is in the thralls of a veela. If she was a member and he later joined, she would quietly leave the group once she found out about his connection to the veela.
- The women in the group outnumber the men, total, because she wouldn't feel comfortable going to anything where it was mostly men and would clam up and not talk much if that was the case. :P
- The MC members aren't grossly outnumbered by the UC members because again, she wouldn't feel comfortable in a group where she didn't have any social circles in common.

THAT BEING SAID, if we establish or imply that there is a strong enough showing of MC women that Esther would feel comfortable socializing with, she could have heard about it from an NPC church friend and invited Ros along!

Since there isn't anyone volunteering to lead, we'll make Finlay the reluctant organizer. Considering that it's for plants and the like, an outdoor meeting location is probably best. A meadow area in Padmore Park perhaps? I had thought the Hogsmeade Ballroom but I don't think the staff would be big into mandrake screeches and the like.

He has posted up an "interested parties" notice in Hogsmeade, Irvingly and the Leaky Cauldron, so figure out how to have your interested characters join in. We can IC schedule the meetings for the first Tuesday evenings of the month, which would be June 5th - we'll do 7 o'clock in the evening so it's after dinner/work day.

@"Benevolence Montague" would certainly be into it, and given her personality would likely be secretary or some such, she's a Hermione type - she would have binders.

Ursula Black - since its looking being UC/MC - I could have Benevolence deliver an order to Mariana Macnair and mention it ws being started and then have her decide if she wants it. Ben is PB, so possibly a less offensive invite than most.
