Phineas Black — Played by MJ
8th February, 1895 — The Great Hall, Hogwarts
Merlin, how he loathed first and second year duels. This whole thing was a farce.
He listed the
rules again, assessing the children before him as if either of them would have
any talent to speak of. Still, he had picked a favourite –
“Mr. Pettigrew, cast first,” he instructed.

"Point to Mr. Callum, who may cast next."

Yes. James couldn't help grinning at his success. Then he made the mistake of looking at Headmaster Black, which was enough to sour milk on its own. Oops. Right. James cast a bat-bogey hex at Pettigrew.

Phineas wrinkled his nose protectively, rather disgusted by the chosen spell. (An offence need not be so offensive, but what could one expect from common boys like that? Badly taught indeed.)
Still, Pettigrew's shield had not succeeded, so what could he say? "Mr. Callum wins," Phineas said, hurriedly ending the spell so that he did not have to witness any more flying bogeys.
