Dear Spinster Seeking Someone,
Your letter in Witch Weekly caught my attention! I am excited to hear that you seek someone without much luck in love, as I am lovelorn myself — and I am confident that you have more to offer than your letter implied. I must ask: what is your dearest dream?

Sincerely,
A Potential Companion

Dear —,

It sounds like you have higher hopes for me than I do for myself – but thank you for writing, anyway. My dearest dream... I suppose that would be to settle down with a family of my own. I’m sure that doesn’t sound ambitious at all, and I know it’s not a very exciting answer, but it feels just ridiculous enough, coming from me.

You say you are lovelorn, yourself... not too tragically, I hope. What’s your dearest dream?

Yours, maybe,
A. R.

Dear A.R.
I am sure that you are merely writing yourself off! And your dream does seem exciting to me. What would you be settling down from?

I would like to make a name from myself outside of my family.

Sincerely,
O

Dear O,

I suppose from my career. I probably ought to have led with that, in my advertisement: I work. But my profession is... a little physical, and a little dangerous, and not something I can carry on forever.

And afterwards, I don’t quite know what I will do with myself, if it is too late to marry or have a family. Work in a shop, I suppose – but I can’t help but think that sounds very dull to say about the rest of one’s life.

And you? Do you have a plan yet of how you might go about making a name for yourself? Is it accomplishment you’re looking for, or will any fame do?

Yours, maybe,
A. R.

Dear A.R.
My profession is also a little physical and dangerous and not something I can keep up forever — how exciting to meet someone else in a similar space!

I would like accomplishment, although any fame would certainly be interesting.

Sincerely,
O
