Take Control of Your Future, Pt 1:
Becoming a Vessel for Prophetic Dreams
Becoming a Vessel for Prophetic Dreams
Not all of us have the gift of Sight or even a talent for Divination, but that doesn't mean the future needs to remain a mystery! Particularly when the stakes are high (during a girl's most eligible seasons or while a mother guides her children through their first ventures into society), it's positively irresponsible not to at least attempt to see around blind corners and prepare for what's ahead. Even if you struggle to see anything in your tea cup besides leaves, you can still predict the future in dreams!
Respected diviner Cynthia Seemore provides this recipe for success, and explains the rationale behind it: "Many people are blocked from interpreting the future because of their own biases," Seemore said. "They have a very narrow view of the future, so they aren't open to seeing even when the signs are there. When we're asleep, those biases are relaxed and we're more receptive to magical influences. That, combined with a little help from my formula, can make even the least talented witch or wizard into a visionary."
First, aspiring dreamers should brew a strong cup of echinacea tea immediately before bed, which must be consumed in no more than four gulps. After drinking the tea, sit cross-legged in a flat place such as the center of one's mattress and breathe deeply for one minute. Both practices are important to clear one's mind and create a blank canvas, so to speak, for upcoming visions. Failure to complete either ritual properly can lead to dreams being unduly influenced by one's past or present, resulting in visions that are much more difficult to interpret and may even provide false indications of one's future.
Finally, place a freshly-grown rose madder flower on the center of one's tongue. Press it towards the roof of the mouth while falling asleep. The rose madder helps to increase to strength of visions, making them easier to remember on waking. Even with the help of the rose madder it is likely that those inexperienced in prophetic dreams may forget large portions of their dreams, so we encourage readers to keep a journal on their bedside table and immediately take notes when they wake, in the morning or during the night.
If you fail to receive visions after several days of this treatment, try rearranging your bedroom so that your head while sleeping is closer to a window, preferably in a position to be bathed by moonlight for at least some part of the night. Those living in urban areas may consider a weeklong stay in the country to establish the practice, where moonlight and fresh air is more generally accessible.
Understanding the symbology of dreams is the key to interpreting the resulting visions and applying them to one's future. Seemore published a book on the subject (available to our readers at a 10% discount with the coupon below), but a small taste of interpretation tips will also be included in next week's issue, when anyone who has taken this advice to heart should be regularly experiencing prophetic nightly visions.
