After a magical attempt on her life in 1877, Queen Victoria launched a crusade against magic that, while tidied up by the Ministry of Magic, saw the Wizarding community exiled to Hogsmeade, previously little more than a crossroad near the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. In the years that have passed since, Hogsmeade has suffered plagues, fires, and Victorian hypocrisy but is still standing firm.

It is promising to see a request from someone so similar in nature to I. I did quite well in my schooling, however, much to my regret, was unable to aquire my N.E.W.T.s as my family decided I would be better suited attending Pendergasts. Since then much of my learning has been from self study.
I've been out for a few years now, however, I find that I am not outgoing enough for many and am on the shyer side. To think that I might find a like soul who would prefer nights in reading over a ball here of all places.
