Hello friends! The next AC will fall on Sunday, 5th March! Before it comes around, please make sure:

• Your mini-profile is filled in
  
• All of your characters have been listed in the Character Directory—check back on your entries to make sure they were processed properly! Anyone reactivated this month will need to be placed back on. 
  
• Characters made before the last AC have posted at least once this month
  
• Profile has been filled in if not done during acceptance
  
• Your character's height is displayed in their mini-profile—if you reactivate an account, this needs doing!

The list of inactive accounts has been compiled and deactivations and list maintenance are underway :) If you lost a character you'd like back, you may post in Maintenance starting Wednesday, March 9th If you have no currently active characters you can post in maintenance immediately!

(If you lost a character before the AC, you can post there whenever you'd like!)

Ladies are delicate creatures! Over the next couple of weeks, The Daily Prophet will be printing using Forsyte's Discretionary Ink on a trial basis, in which female readers will be physically unable to read anything blacked out, "saving" them from indelicate content. Characters who care may write the DP offices and influence the Final Decision on its continued use!

Players can highlight the blacked-out text to reveal the full story!

Charming's canon list has had a substantial facelift! Changes were based on feedback from a secret survey I executed earlier this year, as well as general aesthetic changes to bring the list more in line with the rest of the board.  In addition to the list now being divided into three sections—

— Potterverse Canons —
Era-appropriate characters created by JKR, occasionally with extra details unique to Charming!

— Charming Launchpad —
A place to start with characters (some original, a few from canon) tailored specifically to give you a jumping-off point on the board!

— Canon Surnames in Use —
Surnames from the books used by characters on-site!

—the following changes were implemented:

• Clarifying that we are an AU board and so character directions are up to the player, not to JKR.
  
• Defining popular Charming acronyms like "WCPB" on a page typically viewed by new members.
  
• Removing many households—particularly Irvingly muggles—and handing the reins of these families to any played characters in existence.
  
• Adding one new household (Doge).
  
• Splitting the Dumbledores & merging the Dervish & Banges households under one roof.
  
• Aging down many characters to allow for more school-age adoptables.
  
• Adding descriptions to each family and each character (not all had this before).
  

In addition, thanks to everyone who has been so quick to add themselves to the Canon Surnames in Use section! We hope that all of these changes will make the Canon List page a more useful one moving forward <3
