Another year, another wand-as-a-penis-euphemism.

That's right, summer is here in earnest, and Gervaise and Gideon Ollivander are here for your wand needs. Specifically, Hawke and I are open for business with incoming first years (those from magical homes who have shown magic can start wherever; muggleborns in August!)! If you have other wand needs, though, hit one of us up.

Gideon Ollivander runs the Hogsmeade shop. If you live in Hogsmeade or Irvingly, or elsewhere in Scotland, you would likely go there unless you have a separate reason to be in London. Gervaise Ollivander runs the London shop. If you live anywhere else/have business in London, he's your man! Both shops have the same services and prices, so it really is convenience/geography based!

If you're in the market for this sort of thread, some pro tips:

• If you're starting, please, good god, do not start it with walking into the shop. I cannot speak for Gideon, but Gervaise has never loved making smalltalk with children xD
  
• If you know what you ultimately want your wand to be, let us know!
  
• Got a played parent/guardian/personal shopper? Feel free to bring them along!
  
• For a ridiculous surcharge, custom wands are available!

I have Apollo Cartwright that would likely go to the Hogsmeade branch - I'm good with a group thread!

  

Going back to this and the idea of a group thread--I could get a thread started for the Hogsmeade wand-purchasers? Just something like Leif showing up with his mother or father and being EXCITED and then he sees other kids and he's like "connections time." Potentially I could bring along another Heaney brother/foster sibling for Drama if necessary.
