Local men out fishing yesterday morning, while investigating some curious bird behavior on the surface of the Black Lake, discovered a large slick of blood and ink floating on the surface of the water. The men attempted to investigate and discovered a large piece of tentacle, presumably belonging to the Giant Squid.

The piece, was about the size of a tall man, appears to have come from the lower portion of the squids tentacles and show significant trauma at the point of separation. The exact cause of this trauma, is as of yet unknown but speculation suggests that this may be related to the large fang discovered last week on the last shore by Miss Weasley.

The damaged limb has been removed for further examination and testing to try and determine the cause of the damage and its relationship to last weeks monstrous find. The portion damaged would not represent a major risk to the health of the squid, so local residents need not fear for their watery neighbors health.
