What: Diggory/Valentine Garden Party
Who: Hosted by Dolores Diggory & Inès Valentine; see below for guests!
Where: The Diggory Home, Swallowbury, Irvingly
Why: FIND LOVE, YO!
When: August 10th, afternoon
Rejoice, for the fog is gone!

Finally, Inès gets to launch herself—and her "business"—into society! Come on down to the Diggory homestead for finger sandwiches, other light refreshment, lawn games, music, and a card or tea leaf reading with none other than Inès Valentine, renowned prophetic matchmaker!

Inès has sent an invite to anyone she's been corresponding with via their Lonely Hearts postings! In addition, anyone that Dolores might invite should absolutely show up—likely upper MC or lower UC, absolutely in good repute. Check with Bree if you're on the fence!

Please hit me up here if you want to discuss a reading with Inès, esp. if you have any particulars!

What: Aphrodite Soiree
Who: "Hosted" by Inès Valentine & Dolores Diggory; See below for attendance details!
Where: The Destiny Hotel in London
Why: Having realized that Inès is rather marketable, the luxurious hotel decided to offer her the opportunity to host a function at their location—provided they could charge for tickets and rooms. Naturally, she enlisted Dolly's assistance!
When: August 30th, 1888
The evening begins with a cocktail reception in the hotel's larger conservatory. From there, guests will move into a catered dinner, where they will be seated at round tables of ten people each. Afterwards, guest will not retire as at a dinner party, but proceed to a full on ball. Miss Valentine will be available for readings during cocktails and intermittently throughout the ball, though asks you do allow her to enjoy herself during dinner!

Dance cards for the ladies are designed to look like flowers, with each dance on a different petal. Miss Valentine will have a "master list" of sorts, so if she thinks that she has found your One and Only, she can add them to your card for you. Gentlemen have been given a novelty pocket watch for the evening that works similarly, ensuring they know who they are supposed to be with when!

Fireworks will sound at one o'clock in the morning to signal the end of the evening, but whether that's the end of the night for your character is up to you ;)

Tickets to the function are included in the booking of any of the hotel's suites for that week. Otherwise, they can be obtained for 3G each. This makes them accessible to UC characters and those MC in pay level 2+ if they prioritize. Ines and Dolly each have a dozen tickets to distribute as well—contact me or Bree to obtain one of those for your MC character! 17+ only.

What: Hogwarts Career Workshop
Who: Students—specifically incoming 3rd/5th/6th years, and recent graduates/dropouts—and professors.
Where: Hogsmeade Hall
Why: To have more a more educated student population re: career matters.
When: August 8th-August 11th
Hudson will be hosting a "career workshop" of sorts that the Hogsmeade Hall in order to help students decide what career path is best suited for them, the activities differing depending on their age group:
INCOMING THIRD YEARS — Students will be given information on the offered electives (Ancient Runes, Arithmancy, CoMC, Divination, Earth Magic, Ghoul Studies, and Muggle Studies) and will/can receive assistance choosing based off their interests and strengths. August 8th.

INCOMING FIFTH YEARS — Will be supplied with information related to their upcoming OWLs to ensure that they can focus their attention on the classes needed for their chosen career paths (and/or general career counseling if they haven't pinpointed a specific career/path). August 9th.

INCOMING SIXTH YEARS — Will receive help tailoring their NEWT classes to fit their career needs (or, alternatively, receive help figuring out what classes they can take based off their recently-released OWL scores). August 10th.

GRADUATED/DROPOUT STUDENTS — Has your student (for whatever reason) not even considered possible career paths up until they literally have their scores in their hands? Hudson's here to tell you what you can and can't do with them. August 11th.
Other professors are invited to help the students attending, obviously.

Can you tell I'm looking to give professors/students something to do in August?
