She’s here! Or at least, she will be on Thursday Inès Valentine is my “long-awaited” matchmaking seer, and she’s come to party!

Fresh from Tangier, Inès is here to find The One, just for you~ Using a combination of visions, instinct, tarot, crystal balls, dumb luck, and creative vagueness, she’s been much lauded in Morocco, Portugal, and France as a “Matchmaking Seer”, though she personally thinks that “Prophetic Matchmaker” has a more dramatic (and thus much better) ring to it. She has had some genuine success, more coincidental success, matches that suck but they're convinced they're just doing something wrong because IT WAS FORETOLD!!!111 so they pretend it works, and total flops.

At present, we have…

MY NEEDS

❧ Someone (ideally Irvingly or Hogsmeade, but I can stretch to London in a pinch!) who reads the Parisian equivalent of Witch Weekly and will have recognized Inès/her capabilities from a feature on her they did last fall when she was visiting. Basically, someone to bring her to the attention of local publications/society!

❧ The best friend’s best friend. I would vastly prefer this be an existing character, but if you’re chomping at the bit and can integrate this into another wanted, I suppose I can allow it =P Essentially, Inès had a bestie who came home to Britain only to find that her own bestie was still woefully single. As a result, she brought Inès over to help find her friend a suitable match! The lady in question should be 20-24 years of age and MCPB or MCHB. Obviously, she needs to be single and not have had an overabundance of romantic luck. Family dynamics, ethnicity, etc. are all quite open, but she should have attended Hogwarts.

MY OPENINGS aka YOUR NEEDS

Before she starts properly launching herself on British society, I am open for 2-3 threads with characters of either sex/any gender. The catch is that they should probably be places she’s likely to be: Swallowbury, TPL, Padmore Park, the zoo, etc. Though they will technically fall under the umbrella of the loathed meet & greet, there will be a ~mystical edge~ to them to keep them engaging! Curmudgeons need not apply unless they are also gullible.

If you're into one of these, please let me know anything relevant that could impact her ~seeing or anything in particular you might want her to see. No guarantee of genuine results.

I volunteer @"Helga Scamander" because she's (1) totally gullible, (2) would totally believe her if Inès said her soul-mate was an UC gentleman that she was destined for social success, and (3) she could totally be over-bubbly and ask questions that might overwhelm Inès depending on how she reacts to them.

Ophelia could work for your societal in but she'd be a bit of a stretch. I could easily see her picking up French!WW after she cut ties with the regular WW, but that was only a few months ago so doesn't cover fall. She did travel during her honeymoon (to where? ask Kit because I have no clue) and so feasibly could have been exposed to an older issue at that point? IDK. If you have no better options she's all yours. xD

EstherMuse wants to nominate Loretta Browne for the friend-of-a-friend (21yo MCPB). If that ends up being someone else Es will probably try and convince Loritt to go see Ines at some point. xD SHE KNOWS WHAT IT'S LIKE TO BE THE AWKWARD DEB AND SHE WANTS TO HELP.

I would volunteer @"Nimiane Bellchant" For the bestie of the bestie, except she'd have had to be a childhood bestie since she couldn't go to Hogwarts. I did write in her app that Nimmie's close friend from childhood betrayed her secret and as such Nimmie's fiance broke it off so the friend could be trying to redeem herself now that shes married, or some such thing. Bonus is that Nimmie speaks French and would be fascinated by Inès Valentine although she is proclaiming herself a spinster this year.

Other ideas would be that Nimmie is looking for people to talk to in Irvingly so I can definitely help you out there.

  

Calliope might work for the reader of Parisian WW, she's got a lot of time on her hands to read French magazines! xD She also knows Helga/Ophelia/Loretta etc all mentioned above so could hear about and recognise Inès through any of them I suppose.
