Verity is courting. His name is Mr. Swann, and I know nearly nothing about him, but Mama seems delighted and nobody seems ready to take up arms against him or his family, which is a good sign. I will write when I know more.

It baffles me entirely that you can convey such momentous news in so short a missive! What is this Mr. Swann? How feels our sister about his intentions? You say Mama is delighted, but what of Ford? You give me more questions than answers!

(I am, as always, delighted for any news of home, but my dear Grace, you must ask more questions of your own.)

Please write to me with haste and with more information, for I shall languish here in ignorance otherwise.

I can only tell you what I know. Verity has not told me much about him, but then she rarely tells me much about her personal life anyhow. I haven't talked to Ford or Noble on the matter, either. What I've heard only comes from Mama. I think they're still finalizing the details.

I shall endeavor to find all the answers to your questions that I can.
