Welcome to Charming, where swirling petticoats, the language of flowers, and old-fashioned duels are only the beginning of what is lying underneath…
After a magical attempt on her life in 1877, Queen Victoria launched a crusade against magic that, while tidied up by the Ministry of Magic, saw the Wizarding community exiled to Hogsmeade, previously little more than a crossroad near the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. In the years that have passed since, Hogsmeade has suffered plagues, fires, and Victorian hypocrisy but is still standing firm.
Thethe year is now 1895. It’s time to join us and immerse yourself in scandal and drama interlaced with magic both light and dark.

Did You Know?
Did you know? Jewelry of jet was the haute jewelry of the Victorian era. — Fallin
This room was empty and even as you strolled across it, nothing seemed to happen. At least not until you reach for the door handle; the moment your fingers make contact, it twists away, slipping through your grasp like a snake. You try again, but this time the handle vanishes entirely, reappearing on the opposite side of the door.
A note scrawled on the wood reads: "The door will open when asked politely."
Someone in your life taught you manners, so you try asking the door to please open, but the handle rattles and moves again, this time to the bottom of the door. Perhaps there’s a trick to this beyond mere politeness...
How will you get the handle to stay still long enough to open it?
open to 2-3 OWL/NEWT DADA students
Please contact a member of the staff team if you have an NPC post to go up!
They had tried asking politely and all that but the doors handle kept moving. "Should we try some sort of freezing charm to keep it in place?" He suggested though that felt like it did not fall into the category of asking politely. Still, it was an option to field to his classmates to consider.
Cad couldn't wait to drop this class if he was being honest, because the spells were frustrating and Professor Lissington always seemed to want them to do practical lessons instead of listening to him lecture. He'd followed Maeve around the place because at least they could be miserable together, although he hadn't had the chance to ask his friend if he was enjoying this exercise. This room wasn't the worst they'd been in, but the door handle kept moving.
Cad's eyebrows knitted together. "Are you thinking immobulus or glacius?" Though at this point they might as well use bombarda and blast the door open.
