Hello September and hello new skins!

Yes, that's right, new skins!
We've got four this season and they are as follows:
This Quintessence of Dust is our new default skin and Lady is responsible for the delightfully dramatic banner.
For those of you who prefer a dark theme, hopefully you'll be thrilled with En Passant and its brooding banner, courtesy of MJ.
Bringing some vibrant colors to the season are the final two skins, Autumnity and The Golden Hour with glorious banners by Bee and Sofia respectively. Autumnity should tick your spooky season aesthetic box while The Golden Hour is a refreshingly bright alternative for ending the summer.

As always, thanks to MJ for coordinating the banner collection and providing perfect backgrounds to accompany the submissions!

Activity Check

Another activity check come and gone!The list of inactive accounts has been compiled and deactivations and list maintenance are underway :) If you lost a character you'd like back, you may post in Maintenance starting Wednesday, September 6th. If you have no currently active characters you can post in maintenance immediately!

(If you lost a character before the AC, you can post there whenever you'd like!)

Etiquette Reminder

Charming Weekend is well and truly here, and it's so wonderful to see the flurry of posting we have going on! With the start of a new school term and enthusiasm going around like a welcome disease, just a quick reminder of posting etiquette in our board's culture:

• The thread starter sets the following for the thread:
  
• P is for Private. Only intended people can partake in that thread. There are two exceptions to this: the Portrait Gallery forum, where portraits can do whatever they want, whenever they want, and staff intervention which 99.99% of the time takes place at Hogwarts and is a professor/prefect taking house points or doling out detentions :P
  
• O is for Open. The starter may have indicated a number of people they're interested in posting with, but beyond this, its technically fair game. However, within Charming culture, it's considered polite to ask to join in once a thread is underway :)
  
• S is for See Inside. Please carefully read the first post, as it will have any parameters that should be followed. Remember: thread starter sets the tone.
  
• R is for Read Only. Do not join these threads.
  
• Group threads can be free for alls, but the starter can also indicate post order (cycle through characters, 2/2 rule, etc.)

Posting Wizard

Our CHAMPIONS for August were Sofia (Seneca Lestrange) with 71 posts and Fallin (Sisse Thompsett) with 66 posts—very well done to you both! This months contestants? Athena, Bree, Kelly, and Steph!

Camp Charming

Camp is coming to a close! Post totals and events attended are now locked in for the year but don't forget—part of camp is completing one thread begun and finished between June 4 and Sept. 3! All players have until Friday, September 8th to get this thread in, and those who have completed Camp Charming this year will be announced next weekend!

Technical Difficulties

Just a quick reminder that Olive (Ursula Black) is our site coding guru, and Lady (Philomena Sprout) is the wizard when it comes to Discord. If you have functional issues with either, please tag the appropriate staffer when you report! We want to make sure your issues get seen to as soon as possible, and not doing so can add literal days to the wait! 

As always, for all other requests, a member of staff will get to it ASAP :)

Do you play a student character? Just a reminder that this Saturday is the deadline to signup for house quidditch tryouts! After your signup is approved, please post your character in the appropriate thread no later than Sunday.

Did you participate in Charming Weekend? This Sunday is your last chance to submit completed batches for our raffle :)

Camp Charming

Another summer of Camp has come to a close, and we have some star campers to highlight!

Kayte (Aldous Crouch), Dante (Madeleine Backus), Kit (Tycho Dodonus), Athena (Elisabeth Champagne), Bee (@"Daffodil Potts"), MJ (Elias Grimstone), Beanie (Cassius Lestrange), and Lynn (Fortitude Greengrass) all completed the camp challenges, and can take home the appropriate stamp:


In addition, though all they get is bragging rights...

• Dante and Kit were our biggest joiners, engaging in FIVE OOC activities each!
  
• Bee was our #1 summer poster with an entirely impressive 307!
  
• Willow's Jonathan Copper was our most posted character—106 posts, dang!

AC Approaches

The Activity Check will be this Sunday! Please ensure that:

• Your mini-profile is filled in
  
• All of your characters have been listed in the Character Directory—check back on your entries to make sure they were processed properly! Anyone reactivated this month will need to be placed back on. 
  
• Characters made before the last AC have posted at least once this month
  
• Profile has been filled in if not done during acceptance (Did you get a "DIY" PM? You'll need to do this!)
  
• Your character's height is displayed in their mini-profile—if you reactivate an account, this may need doing!
