Mass Break-Ins
Delayed by Murder Investigation

Nearly three weeks after several break ins were reported across both Hogsmeade’s High Street and Diagon Alley, information is finally being released to the public about the spree. Multiple shops were broken into including Honeyduke’s Sweetshop, Virani’s Watches & Clocks, Wildflowers Florist & Gifts, the Ivy Leaf Tea Room and many others. Many stores suffered vandalism and petty theft, however something much more sinister awaited law enforcement on the High Street.

Investigations for the burglaries came to a screeching halt when the body of Caspian Virani was found in the back room of his horology shop. Head Constable Gallagher was very tight-lipped on information regarding any relationship between the two incidents. “We cannot be certain there is any connection between the murder and the burglaries, if this was a coordinated effort or if Mr. Virani was just at the wrong place at the wrong time. We have thoroughly inspected every store that was broken into and continue to look for leads for all of the crimes. If anyone has any information please contact the constabulary or the Department of Magical Law Enforcement.”

Pending the rest of the investigation, more information will be released as needed.
