Okay, this is a weird plot idea I have and it's not fully fleshed out yet. I'll try and describe the basic idea but please know it's all very flexible at this stage and what it actually ends up being can be co-created with the plot partner(s). <3

The basic goal here is to create a complicated relationship dynamic between some group of characters that will be fun to explore between the two of them while incomprehensible to the other people in their lives. I have a few possible routes to get there:

Butterfly Effect: You're probably familiar with the butterfly effect, the theory that even a small change to past events could have a dramatic impact on the present/future. In this plot route, two (or more) characters had some interaction in the past - could be significant or could be totally run of the mill. Those same characters come into contact with a magical artifact that puts them back in that moment (in their heads - not literal time travel), but this time things go differently. This changes the way their relationship unfolds over the course of however many years, until they're back in the present day. Nothing actually changed in the past, present, or future, but now they're both intimately familiar with this "other version" of themselves and have to deal with that.

Pocket Dimension Castaways: Two (or more) characters get trapped together by some magical happenstance. They get sucked into a magical mirror, transformed into a painting or book, etc etc. They're stuck there for a long time... or at least that's what they think. When they're freed, they are returned to more or less exactly the moment they were stuck in the first place. Now they have a decade of relationship development that essentially happened instantaneously... and probably conflicts with some of their other relationships.

For either scenario the relationship drama that comes to mind most readily is that two characters become romantically involved in the "other" space, but one or both of them are involved with other people in the "real world." They can't exactly throw their marriage away over a weird thing that happened and might disappear when the magic wears off (you never know!) - but they also can't pretend this other person is a stranger, when they know them intimately and still care about them to some degree.

That said, I'm really open to any sort of complicated relationship dynamic - doesn't have to go the romance route ^_^

If you're interested, let me know which character(s) you'd want to possibly involve in something like this and we'll figure out what is most interesting to both of us! My potential candidates are Reuben Crouch Eldritch Morgan J. Alfred Darrow @"Juliana Binns" and Ozymandias Dempsey (or one of my inactive crew if any of them interest you)

this is amazing, I'd be down for it with pretty much any of mine probably.

Ned doesn't have much to do at the moment, so I'd love to involve him. But even beyond that let me say that this is absolutely brilliant, just in general.

ALRIGHT SO. I am considering doing the option B route (trapped in some magical conundrum thing) with multiple characters in order to maximize my fun stuff with everyone <3 My top 3 choices would be Ben, Jules, and Oz.

I'm leaning towards getting trapped in a book as the magical conundrum as this would allow us to pick a premise to put them in, which is potentially more interesting than a blank void. So if you have strong feelings about the book premise, let me know.

Pick your partner and I'll hit you up on Discord to hash out details and start things ^_^

Well I'm delighted by all of this!

I can offer:
Bernard Prewett - department of mysteries shanigens gone wrong
@"Christabel Dempsey" - because her chaos energy is real
Gwendolyn Vane-Tempest - she is miserable, why not compound it
Isis Silverthorne - nothing more helpful in an emergency than a squib with throwing knives
Lucretia Zabini

This idea does sound interesting so I'm going to offer Walter Staghart as a participant.

Using an enchanted book for them to be trapped in reminds me of a part of a game I love playing, where one of the expansions has an enchanted book of fairy tales (three pigs, little red riding hood, the boy who cried wolf, jack and the bean stock, the boy who cried wolf and a couple other fairy tales) It was designed to be used by the children of a noble, to play games, recreate the fairy tales and do other things with the characters. In the game the illusions in the enchanted book were past their 'due date' so were more unstable...the characters had more a mind of their own...but still not overly dangerous. Overall the book had all the typical children's fairy tale characters.

A twist would be to have our characters become the fairy book characters and not necessarily from the same fable.

Whichever book you decide to base it off of, I'm good with having Walter paired up with Juliana or somebody else's female character if there are extras. He's not interested in men so if there's to be any romance it'll have to be a woman. Unfortunately i don't have any female characters to offer.

I've decided to go the book route for all of mine and will be launching the following premises:

Reuben Crouch and Amity Rosewood end up in a deserted island novel where the heroine (Amity) must fend for herself and befriend the native (Ben). Kit and I already chatted and this will be ridiculous and wonderful and it's full up as far as characters go.

@"Juliana Binns" will be the heroine in a plucky romance novel because she'll hate that. She'll be forced to interact with a number of fictional suitors on repeat but there is room for your characters to fulfill other roles in the novel such as suitors, ridiculous sister, rival leading lady, etc. Anything you could find in a Jane Austen novel. Note, they don't have to actually be that way / act that way, any more than spinstress Juliana is a romance novel heroine :P Your role here really only determines how the fictional characters interact with you.

Ozymandias Dempsey finds himself in an Agatha Christie And then there were none style murder mystery where lots of (fictional) people die. This starts as harrowing, but once we run through the whole plot of the book and start repeating it over and over it just gets ridiculous. His threads will involve a lot of dark humor. Openings for other characters here are any other potential-victims, a detective type, etc.

If the premises above don't work for you feel free to steal the idea and come up with your own pairings and premises <3

Anybody want to pair up with Walter in this plot idea?

I can offer Octavia Fawley ridiculous sister or rival for Juliana. He's inactive right now but Anthony Delaney could be a suitor for the same.

And any of my suit could be potential victims for Oz.
