This gives me Elon Musk vibes to an extent. Also I can totally see Emrys married to Grimes lol

Cee would post ALL the thirst trap photos in like leggings and sports bras and swimwear (depending on the season) to her Snapchat/Instagram stories when she has a crush and then check the "Viewed By" thing every 0.2 seconds until Fitz however she's crushing on sees it.

We don't have a headcanon thread anymore so I am putting this here >.>

Beanie has come up with these blinking Ministry badges (basically they light up different colors w/ different meanings for) that everyone should definitely use for their own threads.

DELIGHTful set by lady <3

Modern AU Kieran really commits to bits like "marriage is a heterosexual institution and I don't believe in it" to poke fun at people and also if you don't know him well you might think he's being serious?

brought on by this post, modern AU where Dory and Zelda are both on separate tinder dates at the same bar and just silently pretend they do not know each other

Valerian was the weird science fair kid that got annoyed when his teacher assigned him a partner because he refused to pick one.

I feel like modern Connie would very much have the Jodie Foster sitting at home in her pyjamas with her wife and dog to accept an award sort of aesthetic.

So this is in Barnaby's history:
Quote:For a while, he spends his time floating about in the empty manor house composing endless verses of a song for himself, the ‘Great Ballad of Barnaby Wye’.
and I have already thought multiple times about at least writing myself a verse or a chorus of this song in case I want to quote it later, but EVERY TIME I sit down to do this, before I can write a single line, I start hearing the tune of this and have to give up. So in modern times, there is 100% a Barnaby version of this song.

Have some modern AU texting headcanons:
Art: all lowercase. never mind double texting, he'll quadruple text. either replies in 7 minutes or 6 business days.
Kieran: sends really lengthy texts using journalism shorthand. alternatively, sends Jude photos of pages from various progressive books just captioned "lol" or with literal 3 paragraph missives on his thoughts on them. no middle ground.
Cash: terrible texter. have any of you noticed how cash's letters are always either very short or weirdly formal? still that. you text him 3 questions and he replies a day later to the least fraught one. also he's paranoid about his texts getting leaked to the press so they're a little impersonal.

I don't know about 'modern' head canons and if we play long enough I might get here there but Christabel will be joining the 1916 rising, she will be joining the Stephen's Green muster station under commandant Micheal Mallin and his second countess Markievicz. She knew Markievicz reasonably well as the two had written but never met in person. She will 'go for a dress fitting' and instead run off, because she was a lady, and a rich one, she was probably stationed in the royal college of surgeons, shooting in the direction of the Shelbourne. Bel will kill a man on the Monday, and become a little sickened by the violence, and won't shoot again until the order for surrender comes. She will be imprisoned in Mountjoy, and then a few months in England, when her wealth and connections will see her released in less than 6 months. She will later serve in the Oireachtas as a member of Sinn Fein, until partition at which point she will leave the party and join the republican movement.

In modern times Christabel would be a member of the Oireachtas, probably part of the Sinn Fein or maybe even SDLP. she gives no fucks and is nototious for calling bankers into sessions and then giving speeches shaming them. Her twitter is fire.

He should be one now and anonymously write in gossipy/societal articles from "the mans viewpoint/with a mans opinion" to the Weekly or have his own gossip sheet he gets sent around like Lady Whistledown in Bridgerton. :P

I have definitely considered it and I haven't ruled it out yet. So we shall see.

I don't think JKR has an established canon about how ghosts interact with electronics, since wizards tend to avoid them, and it's not super relevant for this era anyway... but I personally love ghost-lore where they can manipulate things that run on electricity so for the sake of this I'm rolling with it.

Modern AU Ford and Barnaby Wye play Xbox games together. Barnaby cheats by making the screen glitch any time it looks like Ford might win. When Ford tries to call him on it Barnaby tells him it's clearly a problem with the game and he should try taking the cartridge out and blowing on it and Ford is like "games haven't worked like that in fifty years barnaby."

There's also a rule that the Xbox can never be left on idling because Barnaby is only allowed to use it with supervision. Otherwise he gets in fights with random Muggles via online gaming.

Lynn dragged it out of the depths and so here you go;

Elsie is 100% a children's librarian who holds cute classes each week and reads stories with all the voices. All of them. She probably exclusively wears cute skirts and dresses and is always baking for the kids bake sales. She shows up to every sporting match with a huge smile and snacks, even though she has no idea what's going on.

Daff is That Plant Mom and may be earthy-crunchy enough to believe in essential oils, but not like that much. She definitely still wears flowers in her hair and would walk around barefoot all the time if she could. The shop has everything a modern day "witch" would like and she's super into cottagecore.

I think that's all I've got for now, my brain is mush.
