Welcome to Charming, where swirling petticoats, the language of flowers, and old-fashioned duels are only the beginning of what is lying underneath…
After a magical attempt on her life in 1877, Queen Victoria launched a crusade against magic that, while tidied up by the Ministry of Magic, saw the Wizarding community exiled to Hogsmeade, previously little more than a crossroad near the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. In the years that have passed since, Hogsmeade has suffered plagues, fires, and Victorian hypocrisy but is still standing firm.
Thethe year is now 1895. It’s time to join us and immerse yourself in scandal and drama interlaced with magic both light and dark.

Did You Know?
Did you know? Jewelry of jet was the haute jewelry of the Victorian era. — Fallin
It is with sorrow that I write to you of the death of my eldest daughter, Valeria. On attending an event at the Sanditon Resort Saturday evening, she became pinned beneath a chandelier. I am given to believe her passing was painless. Her husband was similarly trapped, and finds himself confined now to a wheelchair.
Mrs. Lestrange will write regarding funeral details once they are arranged. The household is not accepting visitors at present.

Sent to basically anyone born with or to someone with the surname Lestrange
It is my unfortunate duty to inform you of Valeria's passing as a result of the events at the Sanditon Resort this week-end. I was, of course, not present, but am told that she and her husband found themselves pinned beneath a chandelier. She perished with dignity; he is now a cripple. You are, of course, excluded from any bans upon callers, and indeed are invited to an intimate family dinner on Wednesday evening.
Mrs. Lestrange will be seeing to the appropriate arrangements; I trust your schedule will remain open for the funeral.
Please accept our sincerest sympathies for your sudden loss. Please pass on our thoughts and sympathies to your son in law. I'm sure all is well in capable hands but if anything is needed please do not hesitate to reach out.
Our thoughts again,
Kindly,
Priam and Nephele Lestrange and Family
